Zilker Park - New and Improved - Let's Play Two!

After a year and a half renovation, Zilker Park Disc Golf Course was open again.  It seemed pretty much as it was before.  They replaced the tee pads to be the "Roy G." style tee pads, and there were new baskets on every hole.  Other than some some minor drainage changes and some new rock paths, that was all we noticed that was different.

We started early at 8:00 to beat the heat, the crowds and the parking lot attendants and were able to complete two rounds before noon.  Today's players were: Steve, Keith, Dave, Brian and Heady.  Bob joined us for the second round.  Temperatures were in the 80's to low 90's, sunny skies and a slight breeze.  It was not very crowded at all.  We did let a few groups play through but we were never slowed down by a group ahead of us.

I could not get the distance on my drives today and did not have single birdie on either round.  I played it safe and settled for a par most of the time.  I played better the second round with all pars on the front nine.

There were ten birdies on the first round:  Steve(5), Brian(3), Keith(1) and Dave(1).

There were also ten birdies on the second round:  Keith(5), Steve(3), Brian(1) and Bob(1).

No discs lost, no discs found.
