North Town - Memorial Day

We took advantage of the Memorial Day holiday to play the North Town course in Pflugerville.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the mid 70's, overcast skies and very little wind.  It rained the night before so the course was a little muddy.  There were only a couple of other players on the course.

I did about average for this course.  Some of my approach shots could have been better.  This course does not seem to be too difficult but there are so many trees to avoid.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Steve(4), Heady(1), Keith(1) and Dave(1).  We lost five discs today, four in the pond on #12 and one in the pond on #14.  One disc found by Steve on #14.

Circle C

It was a warm, muggy day for Circle this Sunday.  Temperatures were in the low 80's, overcast sky and very little wind.  But it was very muggy, the little bit of wind was welcome.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave and Heady.  Course conditions were dry and clear.   There were several other groups on the course today.

I played better than I thought I did.  I had some bad approach shots and missed a couple of putts, but I ended up alright.  Steve and I both had a chance at par on number 11 but both us ended up three putting.  I made par on number 16, which I rarely do.

A total of eight birdies were made today:  Steve(3), Rob(2), Keith(2) and Dave(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Austin Ridge Bible Church

It was a cool, cloudy day for some disc golf at the Austin Ridge Bible Church.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob Dave, Lif and Heady.  Roscoe the therapy dog was there to give support.  Course conditions were a little muddy from the recent rains.  The fairways were getting overgrown, making the tunnel shots just a little bit tighter.

I had some lousy approach shots, mainly due to a lack of concentration.  I also missed about four putts that I really should have made.  I did make a 50 footer on #4 to save par.  Lif had the longest drive of his life on #12.  Too bad it went about 400 feet to the left of the basket.

After we finished, we played the first three holes again just for fun.  Bob make a 100 foot shot from his knees on #3.  Way to go Bob!

Only three birdies were made today:  Dave(2) back to back and Lif(1).  No discs lost, one disc found (by Steve).
