North Town - North Wind

It was a cold, windy day for a round at North Town in Pflugerville.  Temperatures were in the upper 30's when we started.  A cold north wind was blowing 15-20mph.  At least the sun was out.  The players today were:  Steve, Donald, Chris, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Course conditions were good, mostly dry.  There were a few other brave souls on the course.

Not another good week for me (and Keith).   The wind and cold may play difficult.  It didn't help that I hit about every tree on the fairway.  Chris, Steve and Donald were all able to snap off some long drives today.  Dave had great shot on #10, throwing it in from about 65 feet out for par.  That would have been the 'Shot Of The Day', but that award goes to Steve, who made it from about 95 feet on #15 for birdie.

There were five birdies made today:  Chris(3) and Steve(2).  No discs found, one disc lost by Heady in the pond on #12.

Circle C - Regression

We met up at Circle C this morning, eager to to have another good round like last week.  The players were:  Keith, Chris, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 40's when we started, mostly sunny skies and no wind to speak of.  Course conditions were good, the creek had water.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.  We let several groups play through.

Keith and I were very disappointed in our play today.  Last week we both had good rounds and today was a setback. I felt tight today and could never really get my drives or control going.   Steve did not play today but Lif got all his tree love.

Only two birdies made today, both by Chris.  Several other players had chances but could not convert.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Steeplechase - Perfect Day

We met up this morning an Macho Tacos in Manchaca for a delicious breakfast, then we headed south to Kyle, Texas for a round at the Steeplechase Disc Golf Park.  The players today were:  Steve, Lif, Keith, Chris, Dave, Darden and Heady.   Temperatures were in the 30's when we started but they warmed up quickly.  The sky was sunny and there was not a lot of wind to contend with.  Course conditions were good and there were a few other groups on the course today.

We all had a pretty good round today.  I had mybest round in at least six months.  My drives were not all that long but they were straight.  My approach shots were dead on and I only missed three putts.

There were 11 birdies made today:  Steve(4), Chris(2), Darde(2), Heady(1), Keith(1) and Lif(1).  No discs found and one lost disc by Chris on #4.  His drive took a hard left kiss off a tree and into the creek.
