Circle C - Let's Play Two!

To paraphrase Ernie Banks,  "It's a beautiful day for disc golf...Let's play two!".  Today we played one of our favorite courses, Circle C in South Austin.  The flowers were blooming and weather was perfect; bright sunshine, cool temperatures and light winds.  Today's group consisted of the "Churchill High School Group": Lif, Bob, Steve, Keith and me.  It was such a nice day we decided to play it twice.  We only kept score on the first round.

I started off well, I was only two over on the front nine, but things fell apart for me on the back nine.  Only three birdies were made today:  Steve(2) and Keith(1).  No discs lost, no discs found.  I almost lost my favorite driver (twice), but Steve was able to knock it out the tree each time.

Steve had a very impressive drive on #18, curving around the big tree and ending up in the middle of the fairway.  He made par on both par five holes today.  Bob is getting some serious distance on his flick throws.

East Metro Park - Round 2

Sunday we decided to give East Metro Park in Manor another shot.  The last time we played this course on March 2 we had to contend with a blue norther that hit on the third hole.  Today's weather was a little better, but not by much.  Temperatures were in the mid 50's, cloudy skies and a brisk north wind of 10-15mph with gusts up to 25mph.  Could be worse, could be raining.

Today's group consisted of Steve, Keith, Lif, Bob, Dave, Mike and me.  Keith and I actually played worse today than on March 2.  Bob played much better today and Steve and Dave had the same score as before.  Only two birdies were made today:  Steve(1) and Bob(1).  Both Keith and Lif made some very long putts to save par.  No discs lost, no discs found. I played like crap, only made two pars all day.  I want another shot at this course before it gets too hot to play.
