Circle C - Chilly Start

We were going to play Roy G. today but we found out they were having a tournament, so we decided to play Circle C instead.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob, Donald, Keith, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 40's when we started, skies were overcast and a chilly north wind was blowing.  By the time we got to #14, the clouds had burned off and the wind died down and it turned out to be a pleasant day.   Course conditions were good and there were lots of players on the course today.  I think there was a mini tournament going on.

Today I played a little below average for this course.  I made bogey on a few holes I almost always par.  I did have a couple of circus shots to save par.  On #5 I flicked from about 70 feet out with Nick Mata and ended up 'top shelf'.  On #7 I managed to make it in from about 50 feet out to save par.  Bob had a very good round with four birdies including three in  a row.

A total of 10 birdies were made today:  Bob(4), Steve(2), Donald(1), Keith(1), Dave(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Austin Ridge Bible Church

After a bone chilling week it was good to get outside and play.  Today we played the very technical Austin Ridge Bible Church.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Bob, Lif, Brian, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 60's to low 70's and the humidity was very high.  The skies were overcast and only an occasional breeze.  Course condition were very good for the Church.  The fairways were mowed and a lot of brush was cleared.  The cedar trees are still pollinating and the branches would explode with yellow dust whenever a disc struck them.

I played about average for this course, I wasn't really getting good throws but I managed to do alright.  I missed a couple of putts that I really should have made but I made a couple of putts that I could have easily missed.

A total of six birdies were made today:  Heady(2), Bob(2), Keith(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter

We started an hour later this morning at the MetCenter in order to let it warm up a little.  Temperatures were in the upper 30's when we started.  Sunny skies and a little breeze.  We had a large group today:  Steve, Brian, Lif, Dave, Donald, Bob, Keith and Heady.    Course conditions were good, a little squishy in the middle.

I could not really get it going today.  My drives did not have the distance, my form is regressing.  I had some good approach shots and made a 50 footer on number nine to save bogey.

A total of 11 birdies were made today:  Steve(3), Bob(2), Keith(2), Dave(2), Brian(1) and Donald (1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
