North Town - Pflugerville - Dodging Storms

We were able to squeeze in a round today between storms at the North Town DGC in Pflugerville.  Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Lif and Rob.  Temperatures were in the low 80's when we started, threatening skies and no wind.  The humidity was about 95%.  The course was muddy but the creek did not have much water in it.

I played a little better today, one of my lower scores for this course, but I still missed 4 putts that I really should have made.  I am right on line but either it's too high off the rim or too low off the basket.

A total of 10 birdies were made today:  Dave(3), Heady(3), Steve(2) and Lif(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Williamson County DGC - Warm September Day

It was a warm day for late September at the Williamson County Disc Golf Course.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's, skies were sunny and there was no wind to speak of.  We had an early 8:30 start to beat the heat.  We had a small group today, only Steve, Brian and myself.  Dave was out of town.  Lif and Keith were too distraught over the Longhorns losing last night.

I played a little below average today.  The putting bug bit me again and I missed several putts from less than 20 feet.  Clanking off the yellow rim.  Steve had the shot of the day on #18 with a birdie from about 100 feet out.

A total of 6 birdies were made today:  Steve (4), Brian (1) and Rob (1).  No discs found, one disc lost by Steve with a wild drive on #15.

Roy G. Guerrero DCG

It was a beautiful day for disc golf Sunday at the Roy G.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Brian and Rob.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's when we started, abundant sunshine and no wind.  Course conditions were good, most of the fairways were mowed recently.  Other than a large hackberry tree had fallen on the #5 tee pad the course looked pretty good.  Only a few other players were on the course.

We all played about average for Roy G.  This is a very long course with lots of trees and the rough is still pretty thick in places.  I had some decent drives but I missed four putts that I really should have made.  Several long putts were made by Lif, Dave and Brian.

No birdies were made today.  No discs lost, one disc found by Steve on #1.
The broken bridge was totally removed.

Austin Ridge Bible Church

We had the entire group turn out today at the Austin Ridge Bible Church.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Brian, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, skies were mostly sunny and there was very little wind.  Course conditions were fair, it was overgrown on some fairways.  We did have the course to ourselves.

I played a little below average today.  I bogeyed several holes that I usually make par on.  Several of my drives were wild and I missed a couple of putts.  Brian had the shot of the day with a 75 foot birdie on #17

A total of seven birdies were made:  Keith(2), Rob(2), Brian(2) and Steve(1).  One disc lost, Bob into the pond on #18.  Two discs found, I found a Dx Leopard in the grass on #12 and Keith found one on #13.
