Cat Hollow - Friday Game

Since some of us were off on Friday we decided to take advantage of the day and play some disc golf at Brushy Creek in Round Rock.  Today's players were:  Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the lower 40's, overcast skies but at least there was no wind.  Course conditions were good and there were several solo players on the course.

I did about average today.  The cold weather and bulky clothes affected all of us.  Only one birdie was made today, Dave on #2.  I don't think I even had a shot at a birdie.  I really enjoy this course.  It is challenging and very technical.  Much harder than it looks.

Circle C - Christmas Eve

We played a second round this weekend at Circle C on Christmas Eve.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Donald, Bob and Heady.  Steve brought Macho Tacos again, I think these really help our game.  Temperatures were in the upper 40's when we started, partly cloudy skies and no wind.  On the 11th hole a cold front blew in and dropped the temperatures a few degrees and kicked up the wind.  Course conditions were good and there were several other groups on the course today.

I had one of my better rounds for this course.  My drives were going long and straight, my approach shots were close enough and my putting was good.  I played even par for the front nine.  If only I had not bogeyed #1 and #9, two holes I usually par.

A total of six birdies were made today:  Heady(3), Bob(1), Steve(1) and Donald(1).  No discs found but Donald almost lost a disc on #18.  It was stuck at the top of a very tall tree.  After we finished, Donald reported that after throwing 20 to 30 rocks he was able to knock it down.

North Town - Pflugerville

It was a cold day for a round of disc golf at North Town in Pflugerville.  Today's players were:  Steve, Donald, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 30's when we started, the sun was trying to break thru the high clouds and there was about a 10 mph north wind.  Course conditions were a little soggy in places and most of the vegetation had died off.  Only a couple of other players were on the course.  After a quick breakfast of Macho Tacos we were ready to take on the course.

I did about my average for this course.  My drives are getting better but I had some problems with the trees, we all did.  I missed a couple of putts I should have made, but I made a couple of putts that I could have missed.  I did not have any double bogeys today.  Steve had a nice drive on #14, across the pond, setting him up for a birdie.

A total of 11 birdies were made today:  Steve(5), Donald(2), Dave(2), Keith(1) and Rob(1).  No discs found but one disc lost by Donald in the pond on #14.
