Roy G. Guerrero - The suffering continues

After playing the punishing Manor course last week, we decided to beat ourselves up some more by playing Roy G.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Bob, Lif and Heady.  It was a little chilly and windy when we started.  Temperatures were in the 40's and the wind was blowing out of the north at about 15mph.  Once we got in the trees the wind was not really a factor, but the trees were.

Course conditions were good.  On the second hole we got stuck behind a  slow group of six players with carts and stools and no sense of urgency.  That really messed up our timing, having to wait for them on every hole.  I played very inconsistently today, except for my putting, which was terrible all day.  Big Dave had several spot on, under the basket, approach shots from considerable distances.  Keith nailed a woman on a bicycle on #15, she appeared from around the bend after he released.  We tried to warn her but she didn't understand.  Luckily it only hit her handle bars instead of her face.

No birdies were made today, I don't even recall any legitimate attempts.  No discs lost but two discs found.

East Metro Park (Manor)

It's been about a month since the entire group has been together, this morning we got together at the East Metro Park in Manor.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Lif, Dave and Rob.  It was a little chilly when we started with temperatures in the 50's and a strong north breeze.  Course conditions were fair, it was still a little muddy in places.  It looked like they cleaned up some of the brush.  Only one other group was on the course today.

I think we all played a little below our averages today, the wind was playing crazy tricks with the throws.  I really like this course because of the technical throws you have to make.  You have to think about which disc to use and what kind of throw you have to make.  A poor throw can put you in the thorny rough.  Only five birdies were made today:  Dave(2), Keith(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost but Dave found two discs while playing #8.

Circle C - I did not play

The group played a round at Circle C last Sunday while I was flying to Kentucky.   Looks like everyone had one birdie.

No Game for me this Week

I will be traveling to Kentucky this week for work.  I will be too busy to get in a round up there.  It will probably be too cold anyway.

A potential new player for our group?
