Williamson County DGC - Big Group - Hot Day

We ventured up north and played the Williamson County Disc Golf Course this morning.  We had a large group today, the players were:  Steve, Big Dave, Dave Dardin, Bob, Keith, Brian, Donald, David P. Martin and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 90's, skies were clear and sunny and the wind was not a factor.  Course conditions were dry and there were several other groups on the course today.  We had to let several other golfers play through.

I had a decent day today.  My drives were about average, my approach shots were pretty much spot on and I did not miss any putts.  I had one of my better scores for this course.  I kind of fell apart at the end with a string of six bogies.  Steve almost made an eagle, from about 225 feet out, on number 5, a long par four.  He had a great drive into the clearing.  His second shot threaded through the trees and hit the side of the basket.

A total of 10 birdies were made today:  Bob(3), Steve(2), DD(2), Heady(2) and Big Dave(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C - Another Hot Day

We started early at Circle C in order to beat the heat.  Today's group consisted of:  Steve, Bob, Keith, Big Dave, Dave Dardin and myself.  Temperatures were in the low 90's, clear sunny skies and a pretty good breeze from time to time.  Course conditions were dry and there were quite of few other groups on the course.  We let several groups play through.

With the exception of Steve, we all played a little below our average.  Steve had a great round, finishing only one over par.  He would have done better but missed five birdie putts.  I would have done better but I missed about five par putts.  My approach shots were good for the most part, but could have been about five feet closer.  I had crappy drive on #13 but almost made it in from about 150 feet out.  Bounced off the basket.  DD had one of the longest drives I've ever seen on #5.

A total of 10 birdies were made today:  Steve(5), DD(2), Bob(1), Dave(1)  and Heady(1).  No discs lost but one disc found in the trees by Bob.
