Today was Father's Day and we played the MetCenter DGC in southeast Austin. Today's group was comprised of: Lif, Dave, Steve, Bob, Keith, Brian and me. Keith had to bail out after #12 to drive to San Antonio. The weather conditions were sunny and warm with a fairly good breeze. The course was not crowded at all, maybe three other groups out there, a refreshing change from last week at Searight.
Lif had the shot of the day with a 90 foot shot to save par on #6. Dave almost matched Lif's shot but his disc bounced off the chains. A total of five birdies were made today: Steve(2), Brian(2) and Rob(1). I started out slow but finished with a string of 6 pars. I was not throwing long drives but my approach shots and putting were working today. I made a long putt on #18 to make par on that hole for the first time.
Brian had the most improved score, 14 fewer throws than the last game on April 20. It was even more impressive when you consider that he was playing with an injury today.
No discs lost, although we did hit the water a few times. Two discs found, Steve and Brian, both in the open, on the first two holes.
