Roy G. Guerrero

It was a beautiful morning for disc golf at the Roy G. Guerrero park in East Austin.  Today's players were:  Steve, Big Dave, Lif, Bob, Keith, Chris, DD and Heady.   It was a pleasant 65 degrees when we started, sunny skies and calm winds.  Course conditions were good and there were lots of other players on the course.  This course was recently reopened by the city after being closed for COVID-19, so a lot of people were playing and walking the course.   Because the bridge is still out we started on hole #2 to avoid having to scale the cliff.

I thought I played better than my score indicated.  I got off to a good start but I made too many mistakes on the long holes.  My approach shots and putting have improved.  Congratulations to Chris for the low score of the round.  He drove in from Florida the day before and got in around 1:00 AM.  Dave had the shot of the day with a 100+ putt on #1.  Bob has been working on his roller throws and is showing some results.  Bob made long clutch putt on #17 from the rough to save par.

No birdies made today.  No discs lost and two discs found by Steve and Chris.

Waiting to start

Steve gets us going

My approach on #18.  Pin high and about 3 feet to the left.

Starting the long walk back to #1

Chris getting some long distance on his drives!

Lif with extra style points on #1
