Chris and I were in west Texas this week and played the Alpine Disc Golf Course on the grounds of Sul Ross State University. Essentially it’s a safari course, nine baskets distributed between the parking lot and the highway. Make up your own tee box and call it a par 3. It has great views and the potential for a lot of shot varieties. There are trees, rocks and yuccas that spot the course and surround most baskets.
The weather was perfect, temperatures in the 70's, sunny skies and no wind. We had the entire course to ourselves.
