Flying Armadillo

After a hearty breakfast at Macho Taco in Manchaca, we took a little road trip to San Marcos to play the Flying Armadillo.  This is a private course located in the rugged hill country with lots of technical shots. Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Dave, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 70's, skies were mostly cloudy and a strong wind was blowing from the south.  Course conditions were good and there weren't any other players on the course when we started.

We played the mini course to warm up before playing the Big Course.  After we finished with the Big Course we played another quick round of the mini course.  Bob made an 'Ace' on #13 by bouncing his disc off a car hood.

Th Big Course is  fun but there are a lot of trees to contend with.  I didn't have one of my better rounds, it seemed that I was behind a tree most of the day.  I missed three easy putts on the front nine that I can't blame on the wind.  Keith had a good round today.  Bob had the shot of the day with a 75 foot throw to save par on #3!

A total of seven birdies were made today:   Keith(3), Steve(3) and Dave(1).  No discs lost, three discs found by Rob, Steve and Dave.
