Roy G. Guerrero

It was a beautiful day for disc golf!  Sunny skies, light winds and cool temperatures.  Perfect conditions to play the long and unforgiving Roy G. Guerrero disc golf course in East Austin.  Today's players were:  Combs, Dave, Keith, Lif, Bob and Heady.  Course conditions were very good.  They had recently mowed the fairways and cleared the bamboo and dead brush.  A few other groups were on the course today.

I played about average for this course. My drives were inconsistent, some were very nice and some were not.  My approach shots were all pretty close and I made all of the putts that I should have made.  The problem with this course is the length of the holes and the trees in the fairways.  If you make one bad throw you can forget about making par.

Keith had a good round, making several long putts.  He even made par on #7 for the first time.  Steve was battling a chest cold but it did not slow him down too much.

No birdies were made today.  As a group we made par on fewer than 30 percent of the holes.  No discs lost and one disc found on the first hole by Steve.  I guess the mowers must have uncovered some lost discs.
