MetCenter

A small group of played the MetCenter course today.  It rained last night so the course was a little muddy but not too bad.  It did not rain enough to put any water in the small creek that runs through the course.  This is the driest I've ever seen it.  The skies were overcast and temperatures were only in the upper 70's.  A slight breeze was blowing from the southeast.  Today's group consisted of:  Brian, Steve, Lif, Big Dave and me.

Although the rains made for pleasant weather conditions to play today, it also brought out the crazy ants!  Discs on the fairways would be covered with ants, just standing too long in one spot would have them crawling up your legs.  Fortunately they were not the biting kind.

I had some really good drives today and some really bad drives also.  Twice I had shots at an ace, holes #5 and #16.  Both times my drives ended up past the basket.  I had about five chances for birdies but only converted on one of them.  I did end up with six double bogies, ouch...

Dave had the shot of the day, with a 110+ foot shot for par on #17.  It did not even hit the chains, just dropped right into the basket.  Brian had a nice 50 foot put for birdie on #5.  Brian had a good game today with some very nice drives and clutch putting.  Steve had some good throws today, that were really taking off, and then they would hit a tree...

A total of five birdies were made today:  Brian(2), Lif(1), Dave(1), Rob(1).  No discs lost, no discs found.
