What a beautiful day to play disc golf at the Metcenter Disc Golf Course in southeast Austin. Today was the third time this year for the group to play this course and today's weather was by far the best of the three. We started at one in the afternoon and the temperature was in the mid-seventies, slight wind and sunny skies. Ideal. Perfect.
Today's group consisted of Lif, Steve, Bob, Mark, myself, Big Dave and his brother Big John. Three birdies today, Steve had two and Dave had one. One disc lost (John), one disc almost lost (Rob) and one disc found (Rob). I threw my favorite disc on the 4th hole a little longer than I normally do and ended up in the dirty water. We looked in vain for about ten minutes before abandoning our search. After we finished the round I went back to look for it again. After about ten minutes of walking barefoot in the water, I found another disc and then my disc. It was right were we thought it should be. I don't know why it was so hard to find, I must have searched the same spot five times.
