Circle C - Another Day in the Sun

The endless summer continues.  We met up a Circle C Sunday morning for a fun round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Chris, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, not a cloud in the sky and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were dry and crispy, we haven't seen rain in six weeks.  There were many other players on the course, a small tournament was going on.  We did have to wait several times.   Bob cut out after 10 holes.

I played about average today, I played solo on this course on Friday and did much better.  I wasn't getting a lot of distance on my throws and my arm started to give out on the last three holes.  Keith had some really good throws today.  On #10 his drive sailed just by the basket and he made a long come back putt for a birdie.

There were six birdies made today: Chris(3), Steve(2) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and two discs found.

Wilco - A Good Day

It was a good day today for some disc golf at Williamson County DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the mid 80's, sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good and clean, a little dry.  There were a few other players on the course.

I played pretty well today. It helps to stay out of the rough.  Most of my drives were straight and fairly long.  My approach shots were close enough and I made some decent putts.  I did clang three putts off the ring, including one for a birdie attempt.  Steve is getting some distance back on his throws.  I had the first shot of the day with a 100+ foot flick on #3 to save par.  Lif had the second shot of the day with a 100+ foot throw to save par on #17.

There were four birdies made today:  Chris(3) and Steve(1).   No discs lost and no discs found.

Wong Way Woods - Buda

We met up at Macho Tacos at 8:00 to load up on a good breakfast before taking the short drive to Buda to play the Wong Way Woods course behind Buck's Backyard.  Today's players were:  Chris, Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were very dry and dusty.  There was only one other group on the course.

This is a first time course for most of the group.  It's a fun course with mostly short but fair holes.  Many of the baskets are tucked in behind trees for an extra challenge.  I played alright today, could have been better.  My drives were good for the most part.  Some of my approach throws were just a little off or hit a branch.  I did miss about three putts that I should have made.

There were 10 birdies made today:  Steve(3), Chris(2), Heady(2), Lif(2), Dave(1).  No discs found and no discs lost.
