Roy G. Guerrero - I did not play

The group met up at Roy G. at 8:30. The players were: Steve, Dave, Bob, Darden and Keith. Chris and I had a prior obligation and could not play. Lif walked with the group until hole 14 and headed out to fly a kite at Zilker. Skies were cloudy and it was humid. There were a fair number of players on the course. Judging by the scores I'm glad I did not play.

Steve had the shot of the day at hole one with a 70 foot shot for birdie. The only birdie of the round. No discs lost and one disc found by Bob. He called the number and the owner told him to keep it.

Austin Ridge Bible Church

We met up Sunday for Church, the Austin Ridge Bible Church. The players were: Steve, Keith, Dave, Chris and Heady. Lif showed up and brought donuts to celebrate my retirement! He was unable to play due to complications from another breakfast taco incident (long story). Temperatures were in the upper 70's, mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze. Course conditions were fair, this course really needs some love. We only saw a couple of other players on the course.

I was not happy with my drives or my approach shots or my putting. At least I was consistent. This is a very unforgiving course. I warmed up a little when we played the first three holes a second time and made some decent throws. Too little too late.

There were five birdies made: Dave(2), Chris(2) and Steve(1). One disc lost and one disc found.

Steeplechase - I did not play

Another big group turned out this week in Kyle, for a round of disc golf at Steeplechase. The players were: Steve, Dave, Lif, Darden, Bob, Chris and Keith. I played poker until the wee hours of the morning and did not make it. Steve, Keith, Dave and Lif met at Macho Tacos for a in house breakfast before the round. Temperatures were in the 70's with cloudy skies and a little breeze. They pretty much had the course to themselves.

There were 12 birdies made: Steve(3), Bob(3), Chris(2), Dave(2), Keith(1) and Lif(1). Two discs lost, Lif and DD.

MetCenter - Big Group

We had a big group meet up at MetCenter this morning. Today's players were: Steve, Darden, Chris, Mike, Keith, Darden, Dave and Heady. Temperatures were in the 60's, cloudy skies and a brisk wind was blowing. Course conditions were a little damp and there were only a few other players on the course.

We started the back nine first and I got off to a good start, making par on the first four holes. I just missed par on the next two holes with my putts bouncing off the cage. After that I had some terrible holes, making double bogey on four holes. My drives were average but my approach shots could have been a little closer. I missed some putts that were not that difficult, I could blame the wind but it was me.

There were eight birdies made today: Donald(4), Mike(2), Dave(1) and Darden(1). No discs lost and three discs found.
