Circle C - Another Gorgeous Day

Circle C was the place to be this morning.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Darden and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, sunny skies and no wind.  We had a lot of rain this week but the course was not too muddy.  The creek was not flowing.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

I played a little below average.  Actually we all did.  My drives were a little off and I missed three easy putts.  Darden had a rough front nine but a very good back nine.

Only one birdie made today, Darden on #12.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Northtown - Good Day

It was a good day to play Northtown.  The players today were:  Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith, Darden (welcome back!) and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 70's, mostly cloudy skies and very little breeze.  Course conditions were good.  They've had a lot of rain the past couple of weeks and the creek was flowing.  There were many other players on  the course.

I played alright today.  Some good drives and accurate approach shots for the most part.  I did have a disaster hole on #10 and my approach shots were way too long on #17 and #18.  Those cost me four strokes.

There were six birdies made today:  Chris(2), Lif(2), Steve(1) and Heady(1).  One disc lost, my drive sleeps with the fishes on #12.  Chris found one, high in the trees on #9.

Roy G. Guerrero - Gorgeous Day

It was a gorgeous day for disc golf at the Roy G. Guerrero park on Sunday.  A storm blew thru the previous night and the weather was cool and clear.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Dave, Lif, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 50's, mostly sunny skies and a slight breeze.  Course conditions were fair, a few trees were blown down.  There were many other players on the course, we let several smaller groups play thru and had to wait on a large group in front of us.

No one did exceptionally well today.  I started off making par on the first two holes but only had two more pars after that!  I did make some stupid mistakes and missed a putt or two.  I did have some nice drives and great approach shots, but they were not enough.  This is a very challenging course and many holes require perfect throws.  Avoiding the trees is a challenge.  Four of us finished in a tie for last place!

No birdies were made today.  As a group, we only made par on 25% of the holes!   No discs lost and no discs found.
