MetCenter - The Last Summer Weekend

Autumn begins this week, we can look forward to cooler temperatures and maybe some rain.  Until then, we remain on Hell's front porch.  We had an early 8:00 start to beat the heat at MetCenter.  Today's players were:  Lif, Dave, Chris, Keith, Steve, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's to low 90's.  Sunny skies and an occasional cool breeze.  Course conditions were dead and dry.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

I scored better than I thought I played.  My drives were pretty good.  Straight and decent distance.  My approach shots could have been a little close.  I was left with challenging putts, many of which I missed.  Keith had some damn good approach shots today.  Parked them under the basket.  Lif was throwing piss missiles down the fairway.  He had a nice birdie on #12.  Chris had a very good round, ending up below par.  

There were nine birdies recorded today:  Chris(4), Lif(2), Keith(1), Dave(1) and Heady(1).  No discs found.  One disc lost by Lif into the pond on #15.

Circle C - The happiness of your life depends on the quality of your thoughts

Circle C was the course this week.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Chris, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, the humidity was in the 80's.  Air that you can wear.  Partly cloudy skies and a cool breeze greeted us for the back nine.  Course conditions were good.  There were several other players on the course.

I played about average this week.  I had to scramble a few times to make par and I only missed one putt.  The trees didn't give us much love this week.

There were six birdies made today:  Chris(3) and Steve(3).  No discs lost and no discs found.

I screwed up transferring the photos and ended up deleting today's pictures.  Sorry.

I did save one video of Bob just missing a long putt on #13.

East Metro Park - Holding on and Letting Go

We met up at 8:30 in East Metro Park in Manor for a fun round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly sunny skies and hardly any wind.  Course conditions were good and dry.  They had done some controlled burns so some of the brush was thinned out. There were a few other groups on the course.

I had a slow start and got back on track after a few holes.  My approach shots were a little off but I made most of my putts.  I had a few stupid throws.

There were seven birdies made today:  Chris(3), Steve(1), Dave(1), Heady(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Cat Hollow - Small Group

We had a small group for our round at Cat Hollow Sunday.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's.  The skies were sunny and there a gentle breeze blowing.  Course conditions were very good.  There were a lot of other players on the course but it was not a problem.

I did okay this week.  This course is all about disc drive placement.  If you miss your mark you have to scramble.  Most of my drives were not that long but ended up in a good spot.  I made a couple of mistakes on some approach shots and I missed one putt.  I did make some really good approach shots that led to tap in pars.  I should have made par on #1, #9 and #14.  I had a good drive on the difficult #8 but messed up my approach.  Holes #5, #11 and #17 I rarely par.  I didn't even have a look at at birdie all day.

Four birdies were made today:  Chris(3), Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
