Cat Hollow - Late Start

We didn't play last week because the entire region was covered with ice.  We started this morning at 11:00 to allow the temperature to get above freezing.  Today's players were:  Lif, Dave, Chris, Keith, Donald, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 30's and 40's, sunny skies and only a light breeze.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course enjoying the day.

I played well today, my drives were satisfactory and my approach shots were pretty close.  I did miss three putts that I really should have made.  I made a birdie on #3 by throwing my disc in from about 90 feet.  Both Dave and Lif were robbed, multiple times, by having the chains spit out their putts.

There were four birdies made today:  Donald(3) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Cold Start

It was a cold morning at the MetCenter this morning.  Good thing we had Macho Tacos to keep us warm.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the low 30's but the sun was shining and the wind held off until the back nine.  Course conditions were good.  They cleared out a lot of dead trees.  There were several other groups on the course.  Thanks to Steve for bringing the tacos and to Dave for buying the tacos!

I played about average today.  I did manage to get some decent drives but I did hit my share of trees.  Chris had a long birdie on #13 from about 80 feet out.   Dave had a very good round making some difficult pars look easy.

There were five birdies made today:  Dave(2), Steve(2) and Chris(1).  No discs found and no discs lost.

Northtown - Lumberjack Day

The Lumberjacks

I was a chilly start at Northtown this morning.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Chris, Dave, Lif and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 30's, mostly cloudy skies and not much wind.  Course conditions were fair.  The creek had a little water in some places.  There were very few other players on the course.

Nobody had a stellar day but the scores weren't  as bad as I thought they would be.  Cold conditions and bulky clothing combined with lots of trees lead to poor scores.

There were five birdies made today:  Chris(3), Dave(2) and Lif(1).  No discs found.  I lost a dear friend today.  My Orion LS, "Nick Mata", developed a large split down the middle after a soft throw on #1.  I guess it was his time to go.  I gave it one last throw on #12 to give him a burial at sea.  Sleep well Nick, you will be missed.
