I created this blog to keep track of my disc golf games. I will also add topics relevant to the sport of disc golf.
After playing a long, heavily wooded course last week at Old Settlers', we decided to play another at Roy G. Guerrero. Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith, Bob and Heady. Temperatures were in the 60's, mostly sunny skies and the wind was not much of a factor. Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course. Big thanks to Steve for bringing Macho Tacos!
Another tough round. I had decent front nine, decent for this course. The back nine I could not get a par. Too many trees and I lost my touch on my approach shots. Bob made several remarkably long putts. Lif was spot on with his approach shots. Chris had some monster drives.
No birdies made today, although Chris and Steve both had chances. No discs lost and no discs found.

It's been almost two years since we've played Old Settlers' Park by the Dell Diamond. That's too long. Today's players were Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith, Bob and Heady. Temperatures were in the 40's, sunny skies but a brisk wind was blowing. Course conditions were good, getting to the course was a challenge because of all the construction going on. There were several other groups on the course.
Chris and Dave had respectable scores, considering the conditions and the difficulty of the course. It's easy to get in trouble on this course because it is heavily wooded in places. On the open holes you had to contend with the wind. I did have a few decent drives. Keith made several long putts.
No birdies made today, damn few pars were made. No discs lost and no discs found.

I did not have a very good round, few of us did. The wind was a major factor, plus I had a hard time getting in a groove. I played on Friday at Westside Park in Marble Falls and I thought the practice would have helped. I had a few good drives, straight but not that far. I always seemed to wind up behind some trees. I only missed on putt. Bounced off the chains. Donald damn near made an eagle on #12. His second throw from halfway down the fairway bounce off the chains! Darden made several long putts from the rough.
There were seven birdies made: Donald(4), Steve(1), Chris(1) and Lif(1). No discs lost and one disc found by Chris.
