Our string of good Sunday weather came to an end today when we played Roy G. Guerrero in East Austin. Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, DD and Heady. Darden brought his puppy, Jeter, for his first round. It was chilly when we started, temperatures in the lower 50's, cloudy skies and a brisk north wind. The sun did make an appearance towards the end of the round. Course condition were very good. They cleared out a lot of the brush on the fairways. There were many other players on the course.
Things started poorly. Lif pulled into the parking lot with a flat tire, side wall split. We decided to play the round and fix it after we finished. I felt good and started with some good drives but was quickly deflated with poor approach shots and lousy putting. I only made one par 😟. The rest of the group did not fair much better, we all scored well below our course averages.
No birdies to report and more double bogeys than pars. No discs lost and no discs found.
