Westside Park - Feeling the Feeling

We made a Road Trip to Mable Falls to eat breakfast at the Blue Bonnet Cafe and play the Westside Park DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Chris, Darden and Heady.  It was a warm day with temperatures in the 90's.  The skies were partly cloudy and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good, the fairways were recently mowed.  We had the course pretty much to ourselves.

I had some good drives and some bad drives.  I made some stupid mistakes (hitting trees) and blew a couple of putts.  I did make a long putt for birdie on #14.  Chris had had a very good round.

There were 13 birdies made (not 25).  Chris(4), Darden(4), Dave(3) and Heady(2).   No discs lost and no discs found.

Austin Ridge Bible Church - Hot Hot Hot

We picked the hottest day of the year to play the toughest course in Travis County.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Keith and Heady.   Temperatures were in the low 80's when we started and climbed to the mid 90's when we finished.  Sunny skies and no wind.  Course conditions were fair to poor.  The fairways were overgrown on many holes.  We had the entire course to ourselves.

Not one of my better days,  none of us did very well. There was a lot of wailing and gnashing of teeth.  I had two shots at birdies but missed the putts.  Dave bailed out of playing the first three holes a second time.

Only one birdie made today and that was by Dave on #18.   No discs lost and one disc found by Dave.

Circle C - Wet Day

We met up at Circle C this morning for some Macho Tacos and disc golf.  The players were:  Steve, Bob, Lif, Dave, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were comfortable, skies were mostly cloudy and there was a breeze.  We got rained on a couple of times but it passed quickly.  Thunder rumbled in the distance.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course.  We had to wait on a group of 'old guys' in front of us.

I played a little better today, I made a few stupid mistakes but I feel my strength and touch are getting better.

Only three birdies made today:  Bob(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
Some of the pictures are out of order.  Blogger was being difficult and I got tired of fighting with it.
