Circle C - Warm, Humid Day

We played and early round at Circle C this morning.  We met up at 8:00 and ate a filling breakfast of Macho Tacos, then hit the course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Bob and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's - 90's, sunny skies, no wind and a lot of humidity.  We were soaked in sweat by the third hole.  Course conditions were good and there were lots of other players on the course.  We got behind a group of seven, who were playing the long tees and were very slow about it.  We finally got past them on #15.

I had a pretty good game today, I think I had my personal best for this course.  I could have done better but I went from birdie to bogey on #6.  Steve did the same thing on #12.  I missed a couple of easy putts but I made a couple of tough ones also.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Heady(2), Bob(2), Dave(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Brushy Creek - Round Rock

Today we ventured north to Round Rock to play the Brushy Creek course MUD DGC.  Today's players were:  Combs, Lif, Dave, Keith, Bob and Heady.  It was a little warm with temperatures in the 80's, mostly sunny skies and high humidity.  The wind was not  a factor.   Course conditions were very good and there were many other players on the course today.

I had a pretty good game today, my drives were long, I had my flick working, my approach shots were dead on and I only choked on one putt.  Other than two disaster double bogey holes, I had a pretty good round.  Not bad, considering I played poker the night before and had fewer than four hours of sleep.  

A total of 10 birdies were made today:  Keith(5), Heady(3), Bob(1) and Dave(1).  One disc lost by Lif on #18 an three discs found by Lif on #18.  His drive went long and right and ended up deep in a backyard.  Using Keith's new extraction tool, he was able to reach three other discs that were closer to the fence.  The first disc he recovered was one that Keith had lost years ago!

Northtown - Memorial Day - Small Group

Keith and Lif played a round at Northtown on Memorial Day.  Looks like three birdies were made:  Lif(2) and Keith(1).

We wanted a challenge today so we played Roy G. Guerrero in East Austin.  Today's players were:  Steve, Bob, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, partly cloudy skies and very humid.  The wind was not a factor today.  Course conditions were good, the rough was a little high and we did spend a lot of time looking for errant throws.  There were several large groups on the course as well as a few singles.

No birdies were made today and damn few pars.  No discs lost and no discs found.
