Frisbee Fling 2023 - The University of Texas Campus

We played the Frisbee Fling again this year at the UT campus.  It was a gorgeous day, temperatures in the low 70's, crystal clear skies and low humidity.  There was a bit of breeze blowing.  The players today were:  Steve, Lif, Keith and Heady.  We met up at The Kerby Lane Cafe on Guadalupe for a fantastic breakfast. Today is my 62nd birthday!  Thank you Lif for the breakfast!

We all had a lot of fun today.  It was a nice change to play a course with unique challenges.  Like playing off buildings, sign posts and light poles!  The course was set up with lots of elevation changes, tunnel shots and some wide open throws.  Lif had the shot of the day with a 100+ birdie throw in.  Second time in two weeks he's done that!  I had some good drives today and my putting was surprisingly good.  We all had some trouble with putting in the wind, I think all of us three putted at least once.

I had two birdies today, Lif and Keith both had one and I think Steve had at least one.

Frisbee Fling 2022 - The University of Texas Campus

We did something a little different today and played in the Frisbee Fling 2022 on the University of  Texas Campus.  We played in two groups, the first group was: Lifshen, Combs, Josh McBride and Brady Farr.  The second group was:  Dave, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Although it was a little breezy at times the weather was otherwise perfect.  Sunny skies and temperatures in the 80's.  The course was set up with temporary baskets throughout the campus.  Big thanks to Dave for getting us into this tournament!!

Chris played very well today, ending up -1 with four birdies,  Dave finished strong with birdies on #17 and #18.  I had one birdie along the way and missed two others.  I had some good throws today but I totally choked on my putts.  I must have missed six putts, I made all my anger putts. One of the players in the first group, I think it was Josh McBride, had an ace!

No discs lost, one disc found by Keith.
