Cat Hollow - Humid Day

 We had a large group meet up at 8:30 this morning at Cat Hollow.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Donald, Darden, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the lower 80's when we started, the humidity was in the upper 80's.  Skies were mostly sunny and the winds were calm. It was a sticky and sweaty day.  Course conditions were very good and there were many other groups on the course.

I played about my average today for this course.  I was not feeling well when we started.  My heartburn was kicking in and I was sweating profusely.  I had some good drives and accurate approach shots.  Putting was my problem today.  I missed around five putts that I should have made.  Chris had some problems putting today also, he must have had five putts clank off the basket.  Steve got off to a slow start due to tightness in his shoulder.  It loosened up after some self medication.

A total of six birdies were made today:  Donald(2), Chris(2) and Darden(2).  No discs lost, at least one disc found.

Steeplechase - I did not play

 The group met up for breakfast at Macho Tacos in Manchaca at 8:00 before heading to Steeplechase in Kyle.  The players were:  Steve, Lif, Darden, Dave, Bob and Keith.  Chris and I did not play due to family obligations.  Temperatures were in the 80's at tee time, sunny skies and light winds.  Course conditions were good, the creek had plenty of dark water.  The big tree on #17 was broken in half😟

Congrats to Lif for a stellar round!  Looks like there were 10 birdies made:  Lif(3), Darden(3), Dave(2), Bob(1) and Steve(1).  Four discs were lost in the dark water but three were found!

Wilco - Father's Day

 We met up at 8:00 today at Wilco for a pleasant round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Chris, Keith, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, skies were partly cloudy and the winds were mostly calm.  Course conditions were very good, they recently had a national woman's tournament play.  There were many other groups on the course.

I played about my average for this course, which is never good.  Stupid throws and stupid trees.  Chris came close to an ace on #7.  His drive went straight down the fairway, skipped up and grazed off the bottom of the basket.  He was able to convert it to an easy birdie.

Four birdies were made today:  Chris(2), Dave(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost but two discs found!

Roy G. Guerrero

 We met up this morning at 8:30 to play the challenging Roy G. Guerrero course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly sunny skies and no wind to speak of.  Course conditions were good, a few more down trees.  There were many other players on the course.

I did a little below my average for this course today, I think we all did.  The mental mistakes are the ones that really hurt.  Keith had the shot of the day with a laser from about 110 feet out on #11 for a birdie.  Chris had back to back birdies, his drive on #14 went past the basket.

There were three birdies made today:  Chris(2) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Muggy

 I was warm when we met up at 8:30 at the MetCenter.  Today's players were:  Steve, Darden, Lif, Chris, Bob, Keith and Heady.  The temperature and  humidity were in the low 80's, the skies were mostly cloudy and an occasional slight breeze.  Course conditions were good,  a couple of more down trees.  There were only a few other groups on the course.

Not one of my better games.  My drives need to be longer and my approach shots need to be more accurate and I got to stop hitting the top ring with my putts.  Bob had the shot of the day with an 80 foot throw in to save par on #14.  Darden had an impressive birdie on #7, a very tough hole to par!

There were 19 birdies today, everyone had one:  Steve(6), Lif(4), Darden(3), Bob(2), Chris(2), Keith(1) and Heady(1).    No discs lost and three discs found.
