A small group of players, Steve, Dave, Keith and Rob turned out to play the East Metro Park Disc Golf Course in Manor today. The weather was perfect, temperatures in the upper 70's, plenty of sunshine and no wind to speak of. Course conditions were good, a little dry, lots of gnats and the ragweed was in full bloom. Clouds of pollen would be released when our discs hits the plants. Very few other players were on the course.
I played about average today, I think I could have played about five strokes better. I missed a couple of putts and my approach shots were not that accurate. Steve had a very good round, ending up +3 for the day. Keith had some problems with his putting, very unlike him.
All of us managed to keep it in the fairway today so we did not spend a lot of time looking for discs in the rough. I guess we are getting better. The roughs on this course are the most punishing roughs I have ever seen. They are very thick and everything has thorns.
Only two birdies were made today: Rob(1) and Keith(1). No discs lost and no discs found.
