Circle C - Mother's Day

Since many in the group were out today, due to Mother's Day, we decided to play Circle C again. Today's players were:  Steve, Big Dave, Heady, Donald, Donald's young friend, Parker.  Temperatures were in the 70's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional breeze.  The humidity was very high, I almost perspired.  Course conditions were good, the creek was dry again.  There were a fair amount of players on the course.

None of us had a stellar game.  I played  about the same as last week.  I made some stupid mistakes and my approach shots were a little off.

Only three birdies were made today:  Dave(1), Donald(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Steve on #18.

Circle C

The heavy rains at the end of the week gave way to a beautiful sunny day on Sunday.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith, Donald and Heady.  Good to see Lif and Donald again!  Perfect weather for disc golf, temperatures were in the 70's, sunny skies and only a light breeze.  Course conditions were a little muddy from all the rain.  The creek was full and flowing, I can't remember the last time it had water.  There were lots of other players on the course but we never had to wait.  Thanks to Steve for bringing the Macho Tacos and thanks to Chris for paying for them!

I had a pretty decent round, most of my drives were long and straight.  Some of my approach shots were a little off, which led to some difficult putts.   I just missed a birdie putt on #9.   Keith continues to improve, he started off pretty well but had some grip problems on the back nine.

There were seven birdies made:  Donald(3), Steve(3) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and one disc found on the #13 fairway.

Enjoying some Macho Tacos!

Roy G. - The Beast

It's been a little while since we've played a punishing round, so we decided to play Roy G. Guerrero.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Dave, Chris, Darden and Heady.  Nice weather again today, temperatures were in the 70's, sunny skies, low humidity and calm winds.  Course conditions were good, the grass was a little high in the rough.  Several other groups were on the course.

I had my average round for this course, which is terrible.  I did manage to make a few pars.  I stayed close to the fairway for most of the round.  My approach shots were a little off and I missed a couple of putts.  Keith is making good progress with his rehabilitation.  He manage a few straight throws with some distance.  He is only about a stroke behind the rest of us and will be back to his old self soon.

No birdies today, no real attempts for one that I can remember.  Three discs found and one disc lost, Keith left one behind somewhere.
