Wells Branch Park - Confidence Builder

We play Wells Branch about once a year, mainly because it can get crowded with tournaments.  This is a fun neighborhood course with mostly short holes and lots of poison ivy.  The scores here really boost your self confidence.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Keith, Lif, Bob and Heady.   When we started at 8:00 the temperatures were already in the 80's and very humid.  Skies were mostly cloudy but the clouds burned off.  There was no wind at all.

Everyone did well today, no one scored above par!  I had the most birdies but I also had the most bogies! I had some crappy putts as did others, so the scores could have been much lower!

Lots of birdies today, 23 of them!  Heady(6), Dave(5), Lif(4), Steve(3), Keith(3) and Bob(2).  One disc lost by Lif, wedged high in a tree.  At least one disc found, Bob found one in the poison ivy.

Brushy Creek MUD - Warm Day - Early Start

We started at 8:30 at Brushy Creek to beat the heat, I'm glad we did.  It did get a little warm by the time we finished.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Bob, Brian, Parker, Keith and Heady.  Yes, Parker McIntosh has returned!  Temperatures were in the 80's to 90's, sunny skies and not much of a breeze.  Course conditions were good and it was a little busy.

I started out all right but became inconsistent somewhere along the way,  I met with Triumph and Disaster.  I kept hyzering the disc or launching it.  I ended up ok thanks to some good approach shots.  I did not have any double bogeys, which is a good thing.  Good to see Parker again.  Despite not playing for a long time he tied for first place with Lif and Keith.

A total of six birdies were made today:  Parker(2),  Steve, Keith, Heady and Bob each had 1.  No discs lost, I left my Tern on the fairway but got it back.  One disc found by Bob, a Valkyrie.

Roy G. Guerrero - Avoiding the rain

We were initially going to play the MetCenter today, but they were having a tournament there.  So we decided to play Circle C, but when we got there it was pouring down raining with no end in sight.  So we went across town to play Roy G., where it was nice and dry.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Bob, Keith, DD and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's when we started, cloudy skies, it was muggy and there was a little wind.  We did get a sprinkle on hole 16 but it did not last long.  As soon as we finished the skies opened up, we got lucky.

I was a little inconsistent today, I had some good throws and some bad ones.  My putting was a bit off also.  DaveD had a couple of really nice long putts today.

Only one birdie today, DaveD on #8.  No discs lost but one disc found by Steve, laying just off the fairway.

One day they will fix the bridge
