Steeplechase Park - Kyle, TX

We met up at 8:30 at Macho Tacos in Manchaca for a delectable breakfast before heading south to Kyle to play Steeplechase. Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Chris, Darden, Keith and Heady.  It was a little cool when we started, temperatures were in the 40's, but the sun was shining.  There was a pesky breeze blowing.  Course conditions were good.  It didn't seem like there was too much damage from the ice storm.  Much of the vegetation has been frozen back.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

I was a little off today.  My drives were decent but my approach shots were off.  This left me with challenging putts, most of which I missed.  The wind did not help.  Chris had great round ending up -4.  He also had the shot of the day with a 120 foot eagle on hole #3.  A local kid, Rick, joined us for a few holes.

A total of one eagle by Chris and 12 birdies were made today:  Chris(3), Steve(2), Lif(2), Heady(2), Keith(1), Dave(1) and Darden(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Met Center - Melt the Ice Away

We had a major ice storm this week and decided the course with the least damage would be Met Center.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Chris, Dave and Heady.  It was cool and foggy when we started, temperatures were in the upper 40s.  At least there was no wind.  The fog burned off about halfway thru and it turned out to be a beautiful day.  Course conditions were not that bad, a few down branches.  There were lots of other players on the course, we played the back nine first to avoid the crowds.

I played alright today, I fell apart a little on the back nine but overall I was played better than I have been.  Keith was ripping off some long throws, looks like he is back. Lif went top shelf!  Everyone did well, we all scored in single digits.

A total of ten birdies today:  Steve(3), Chris(2), Dave(2), Lif(2) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Chris.
