Circle C - Finally a Good Round

We met up at Circle C this morning at 9:00 for Macho Tacos (thanks Steve) and a round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Bob, Donald and Heady.  Good to see Donald again.  Temperatures were in the 50's, partly cloudy skies and a steady breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were dry and there were several other groups on the course today.

I started off slow with bogies on the first two holes, I also got my drives stuck in the trees on both holes.  After that I settled down and had a pretty good round.  My drives were long and straight for the most part.  I made par on two of the harder holes, #5 and #11.  Other than a few stupid mistakes and some missed few putts, I felt like I had a pretty good round.  I made two birdies but missed two others, on #8, my disc caught a lot of the chains but bounced out.

A total of six birdies were made:  Bob(2), Heady(2), Donald(1) and Dave(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

North Town - Tough Day

It was a cool and breezy day for a round at North Town last Sunday.  The players were:  Steve, Bob, Dave, Keith, Lif and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 40's when we started, a steady north breeze was blowing 10-15 mph, at least the sun was shining.  Course conditions were very dry and there were a few other groups on the course.

I had probably my worst round ever at this course.  I tied Lif for dead last and Lif has a bum shoulder.  Everyone else, except Keith, had a below average round.  Other than a disaster on hole 7, Keith had a pretty good round.  My drives were about average but my fairway and approach shots were terrible.  The wind did crazy things with the discs and we all hit our share of trees.

A total of five birdies were made:  Bob(2), Steve(2) and Keith(1).   No discs lost and no discs found.

Roy G. Guerrero - Who's idea was this?

We haven't played the Roy G. Guerrero DGC in a while, so I suggested that we play it this week.  Not one of my better suggestions, this is a vastly different course after the wide open spaces of Moody's last week!   Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Dave and Heady.  Lif is on the injured reserve but he walked the first nine holes to get some exercise.  Glad to see Roscoe again.  We started on hole #2 to avoid climbing down the cliff of doom to get to the first hole.

Temperatures were cool when we started, in the upper 40's.  We had sunny skies and hardly any wind.  There were lots of other players on the course (and some deer and a coyote).   Course conditions were good, with the recent freeze killing off some of the rough.

I started out pretty well but quickly soured after that.  I had trouble controlling my drives and I missed around five putts.  I did so well the day before when I practiced at Circle C.  We all hit our share of trees.  Keith had a pretty good game with bonafide chances for par on #5 and #14.

No birdies were made today.  No discs lost and no discs found.
