Roy G. - Sunday Hot Sunday

It was a hot, sunny Sunday for a round at the Roy G. Guerrero DGC.  We had a large group today:  Steve, Big Dave, Lif, Mark, Keith, Bob, DaveD and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 90's, sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, they were clearing some of the brush out on hole 2 today.  Quite a few other groups were on the course.

I did not have one of my better rounds for Roy G, hit too many trees and missed too many putts.  I must have missed five putts, each one felt good as it left my hand, only to clang on the side of the basket.  Big Dave had the shot of the day with a 70 foot birdie putt on #2.

Only two birdies were made today:  Big Dave(1) and Steve(1).   No discs lost but four discs found.

Still a challenge to reach the first tee.  When will they fix the bridge?

MetCenter - Muggy Saturday

We had a small group for a muggy Saturday round at the MetCenter.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Mark and Heady.  Temperatures were in the low 90's with about 80 percent humidity.  Skies were mostly cloudy and an occasional cool breeze.  Course conditions were fair, it could use a mowing but it was not too soggy.  Only one other group was on the course and they quit after 11 holes.

I threw pretty good today, I had some nice drives and several of my approach shots were spot on.  I almost made a birdie on #1 from about 100 feet out, hit the basket.  I had the shot of the day on #15 with a flick in birdie from about 90 feet out.  I only missed one putt and did hit a few trees that brought my score down.  Dave had a nice front nine with a string of seven pars in a row.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Steve(3), Mark(2) and Rob(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C

It was a nice warm day for a round of disc golf at Circle C.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Bob, Mark and Heady.  It was good to see Mark again.  Temperatures were in the mid 80's, skies were partly cloudy and there was very little wind.  Course conditions were dry and we had to rush our start to beat a tournament that was going on.

I played a little below average today, I could not place my approach shots in a my comfort zone.  I was just a little off.  If I had played just a little better I feel I could have knocked at least five strokes off.

A total of eight birdies were made today:  Keith(2), Mark(2), Bob(2), Steve(1) and Heady(1).  One disc lost and one disc found by Bob on #11.  He lost his drive in the brush but found one to make up for it.
