| The Lumberjacks |
I was a chilly start at Northtown this morning. Today's players were: Steve, Keith, Chris, Dave, Lif and Heady. Temperatures were in the upper 30's, mostly cloudy skies and not much wind. Course conditions were fair. The creek had a little water in some places. There were very few other players on the course.
Nobody had a stellar day but the scores weren't as bad as I thought they would be. Cold conditions and bulky clothing combined with lots of trees lead to poor scores.
There were five birdies made today: Chris(3), Dave(2) and Lif(1). No discs found. I lost a dear friend today. My Orion LS, "Nick Mata", developed a large split down the middle after a soft throw on #1. I guess it was his time to go. I gave it one last throw on #12 to give him a burial at sea. Sleep well Nick, you will be missed.
