Circle C - Fun in the Sun

 We met up at 8:00 at Circle C to beat the heat and the crowds.  Today's players were:  Steve, Darden, Keith, Lif, Chris, Dave, Mark and Heady.  It was good to see Mark again.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's, mostly sunny skies and not much of a breeze.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course.

I played about my average for this course.  I had some stupid throws but at least I made all my putts.  Chris started off with back to back birdies. Mark had some really long drives, the benefit of youth.  

A total of nine birdies were made today:  Chris(3), Mark(2), Darden(2) and Steve(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Wilco - Beat The Heat

 

We met up at 8:00 to beat the heat at Wilco.  Today's players were: Steve, Darden, Keith, Chris, Dave, Lif and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's, partly cloudy skies and a 10-20mph wind was blowing.  Course conditions were good and there were a fair number of other players on the course.

I played about my average for this course.  I was happy with most of my drives but I had some trouble making my putts.  I keep hitting the damn ring!  At least I'm not leaving them short.  Nobody really tore up the course today.  The trees and the wind made things challenging.

Only two birdies made today:  Chris(1) and Keith(1).  No discs found and no discs lost.

Steeplechase - Father's Day

We met up at Macho Taco's in Manchaca for a sumptuous breakfast before heading down to Kyle to play the Steeplechase DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  The temperature and the humidity were both in the 80's.  Mostly sunny skies and a light breeze to cool the sweat.  Course conditions were fair.  The creek had a lot of water and the course could use a good mowing.  There were a few other players on the course.

My front nine was not good.  I had good drives today but my approach shots and putting on the front nine were terrible.  I played even par on the back nine and made two fairly long putts, one for birdie.  Steve had some grip issues on the back nine.  Lif was a birdie machine.

There were ten birdies made today:  Lif(4), Chris(3), Steve(1), Keith(1) and Heady(1).  No discs found, one disc lost in the jungle on #2 by Steve.
