Chris and I were in the California mountains last week and we got in a round at the Cougar Point DGC. It was a warm, sunny day, with temperatures in the upper 80's and low humidity. There was only a slight breeze. Course conditions were fair, lots of Foxtail grass. The sharp little spears got all in my socks and shoes. We were the only players on the course, in fact, we were the only people in the park!
This was an fun course but it could have some improvements. Tee pads were either dirt or thick plastic. Navigating the course was a challenge, we played the wrong basket once. The tall grass made it difficult to find your discs. I only brought two discs and a putter. One disc was yellow and the other was orange. It made it kind of hard to find sometimes. The course is mostly open with enough trees to keep in interesting. There were some elevation changes but no water hazards.
Only one birdie made, by me! No discs lost and no discs found.
I got a birdie on #3 |
