Max Starcke Park, Sequin - Road Trip

We met up at Macho Taco's in Manchaca this morning between 8:00 and 8:30 for a sumptuous breakfast before getting on the Texas Autobahn south to Sequin.  The weather was perfect.  Temperatures in the 70's, clear skies and no wind.  Today's players were Steve, Chris, Lif, Keith and Heady.  Course conditions were green and beautiful.  There were only a few other players on the course.

I had a little below average day.  I had some really good drives, long and straight.  My approach shots and putting let me down today.

No birdies made today!  No discs lost and one disc found by Chris in the tall grass on #9.

Zilker Park - Blustery Day

The conditions this morning were less than ideal for a round of disc golf at Zilker Park.  Temperatures were in the 50's, overcast skies and a north wind blowing 20+mph.  At least it wasn't raining.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith and Heady.  Course conditions were good and there were only a few other players on the course today.

Not one of my better rounds at Zilker, not a good one for Keith either.  I wasn't getting any power on my drives, my approach shots were not close enough and I missed far too many putts.  Big Dave had two big shots of the day.  He made a birdie on #3 from about 70 feet out and on #14 he made one from way downtown, at least 100 feet away.

There were four birdies made today:  Dave(2), Steve(1) and and Lif(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Dave on the fairway.

Frisbee Fling 2023 - The University of Texas Campus

We played the Frisbee Fling again this year at the UT campus.  It was a gorgeous day, temperatures in the low 70's, crystal clear skies and low humidity.  There was a bit of breeze blowing.  The players today were:  Steve, Lif, Keith and Heady.  We met up at The Kerby Lane Cafe on Guadalupe for a fantastic breakfast. Today is my 62nd birthday!  Thank you Lif for the breakfast!

We all had a lot of fun today.  It was a nice change to play a course with unique challenges.  Like playing off buildings, sign posts and light poles!  The course was set up with lots of elevation changes, tunnel shots and some wide open throws.  Lif had the shot of the day with a 100+ birdie throw in.  Second time in two weeks he's done that!  I had some good drives today and my putting was surprisingly good.  We all had some trouble with putting in the wind, I think all of us three putted at least once.

I had two birdies today, Lif and Keith both had one and I think Steve had at least one.
