We ventured north this week to Pflugerville to play the North Town DGC. Today's players were: Steve, Big Dave, Lif, Chris, Dave Darden, Donald and Heady. Keith played a rehab round. It was a little damp and a little chilly when we started with temperatures in the 50's. Skies were overcast and there was no wind to speak of. Course conditions were fair, a little muddy in places. It looks like they had quite a bit of rain in the past week. The creek was flowing and the ponds were full. There were a fair number of other players on the course.
Nothing was working for me today. My drives were short and errant, my approach shots hit trees and I missed several putts. I think I only had about four decent drives. Steve had a good round, with great putting and was a birdie machine, he finished even par. Even Steve. Big Dave had several very long putts go in. Chris had a bogey free back nine. Keith played mostly with a flick and was getting some good distance and accuracy by the end of the round.
There were 16 birdies made today: Steve(5), Lif(3), Chris(2), Donald(2), Dave(2), DD(2). Two discs lost in the pond by Dave and I. Several discs found, I think it was three.
