We headed east today to play a new course in Bastrop, Bob Bryant Park. We met up at 8:00 at Macho Tacos in Manchaca for some tasty and filling breakfast tacos. Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Dave, Chris, Keith and Heady. It was a muggy day. Temperatures were in the 80's and the humidity was in the 80's. Air you can wear. Skies were mostly cloudy and there was not too much wind. We even got sprinkled on for a brief time.
This was a fun and interesting course. The holes were fair, I'm surprised we did not have more birdies. The front nine were mostly wide open without much elevation changes. The back nine took you through the forest with tight tunnel shots and technical throws through the trees. Elevation changes came into play but no water hazards. Although I almost hit the Colorado river with an errant drive. The tee boxes were natural dirt, but they did not pose and problems. The flow of the course could be improved, we had to back track a few times to get to the next hole.
I played better this week. My strength has come back and I am getting some distance and accuracy on my drives. My putting was better this week also.
Only three birdies were made today: Steve(1), Chris(1) and Heady(1). No discs lost and no discs found. Sorry if the pictures are out of order, blogger was being difficult today.
