East Metro Park - There Will Be Blood

A great day and a great time of year to play East Metro Park in Manor.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Keith, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's, sunny skies and mostly calm winds.  Course conditions were good, they had recently mowed and cleared some brush.  This is a ggod time of year to play this course, the bluebonnets are blooming and the rough isn't too overgrown.  The thorns, while numerous, aren't as bad as they are in the summer. Other than Grateful Ted we were the only players on the course.

My game is slowly getting better, I was not happy with my score but other than a couple of disaster holes I think I played all right.  I did miss a couple of easy putts and a few of my approach shots were just a little off.  I easily could have score 6 strokes lower.  Steve continues to have some monster drives.  Straight and very long.  Chris had a good round, he had the shot of the day, scoring a birdie on #8, the long par 5 with a 70 foot putt.  He followed that up with a tap in birdie on #9.

A total of eight birdies were made:  Steve(3), Chris(3), Heady(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
