Wilco - Gone With the Wind

We ventured north this week to Leander to play the Williamson County Disc Golf Course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, mostly sunny skies and a steady breeze was blowing in from the south.  Course conditions were dry and there were a few other small groups on the course.

Between the trees and the wind, everyone had a rough day.  I had a few good throws but I found myself in the rough more than the fairway.

Only five birdies were made today:  Steve(2), Dave(1), Lif(1) and Keith(1).  No discs found, no discs lost, one dildo lost by Keith.

Update:  Chris went back through the course and found Keith's stick!  Way to go Chris!

Circle C - Wednesday Round, Christmas Eve Eve

We took advantage of some beautiful weather and a light work schedule to play a Wednesday round at Circle C.  A large group turned out:  Steve, Lif, Dave, John, Darden, Chris, Bob, Beth and Heady.  The weather was perfect for a late December afternoon.  Temperatures were near 80 degrees, mostly sunny skies and only a little wind.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course.

I played much better than I did on Sunday the Met.  Other than making bogies on #9 and #10, I was satisfied with my play.  Dave had a great shot on #16 with a 50 foot putt to save par.

There were seven birdies on the scorecard:  Steve(5), Lif(1) and Chris(1).  I think Bob had a couple also.  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Last Day of Autumn

We wanted to play close to home this week and the MetCenter was the choice.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Dave, Chris, Darden and Heady.  It was a little cool when we started, with temperatures in the 40's. But the sun was shining and the wind was calm, so it didn't feel too bad.  Course conditions were a little muddy because the of the recent rain.  The creek was full and flowing, we all found the water today.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

Not one of my better days on the course.  I could not seem to string together two good throws.  My real problem was that I've forgotten how to putt.  I must have missed 10 putts, and I did so well in practice before the round.  Steve had his usual good game, ending up at even par.  Even Steven.

A total of eight birdies were made: Steve(4), Lif(2) and Darden(2).  No discs found and we may have lost one or two to the creek.
