Westside Park - Marble Falls - Labor Day

The Labor Day holiday gave the group the opportunity to play the Westside Park in Marble Falls.  I've been telling the group about this course for a couple of years.  We met up at my house around 8:00 for breakfast and coffee then took the drive to Marble Falls.  The course is closer to me, at least driving time wise, as most of  the regular courses we play.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Lif and Heady.  It was a little warm, with temperatures in the 90's, mostly sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Fortunately, most of the holes are in the shade.  Course conditions were very dry, but the creek did have flowing water.  We were the only players on the course.

I did alright today, I had some good throws and some bad ones.  This course is a mixture of tight technical holes and wide open bomber shots.   Other than a couple of disaster holes I was satisfied with my play.  Lif had the shot of the day with a 70 footer to save par on #4.  Keith finished the round two under par.  He really liked this course.

Keith, Steve and I played another half a round.  We stopped on the way home to feast at Opie's Barbeque!

A total of nine birdies were made:  Keith(4), Steve(2), Bob(1), Lif(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost, no discs found.  Four all-star pars!
