A small group played the East Metro Park in Manor on Sunday. We have not played this course since May. We have been waiting for the weather to cool off and for some of the brush to die. There was a tournament preparing to start when we arrived. About 50 players standing around waiting to start. After seeing all of those players, with their stools and push carts, we decided it would be best to jump to the eighth hole to start. Best decision we made, we never saw anybody else on the course.
Today's players were: Lif, Dave, Keith and myself. Weather conditions were good for the last day of November. Temperatures in the 70's and partly cloudy skies. The wind was the only problem, blowing in at 20 mph at times.
Because of my forearm injury from last week I threw most of my drives with a forehand flick. I was getting pretty good distance and accuracy, unless I got the disc too high and the wind got it. I improved my score from the last time we played this course.
A total of three birdies were made: Lif(1), Dave(1) and Keith(1). Two discs lost on the day: Lif and Keith. I found one disc, a DX Tee-Bird, a good throw away disc.
