Northtown - Last Minute Change

We originally planned to play the Sprinkle Valley course on Sunday morning.  However, once we arrived we were informed that a tournament was being played.  We called an audible and decided to play Northtown.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Bob, Chris, Darden and Heady.  Dave walked the course and was available for advice.  The gang was all present, there was even a Donald sighting!  Temperatures were in the 80's, partly cloudy skies and a good breeze was blowing.  Course condition were good, lots of water in the creeks.  There were a comfortable number of other players on the course.

I didn't play too poorly considering I had less that four hours of sleep.  I had some nice drives and some good approach shots.  I did miss at least four putts, one for birdie.  We all hit our share of trees.

There were eight birdies made today:  Steve(4), Chris(2), Lif(1) and Darden(1).  No discs found and my throwaway disc sleeps with the fishes in the pond on #12.

Videos are at the end, past the score.  Blogger was frustrating me today!

Cat Hollow - Father's Day - Summer Solstice

We decided to play Cat Hollow for the first day of summer.  We met up at 8:00AM in order to beat the heat and the crowds.  Today's players were: Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Dave was there in an observing capacity.  Temperatures were in the low 80's, mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good.  There were several other groups on the course.

I had a very good drive on #1 but stumbled on my approach shot which led to a long putt for par which I missed.  That set the tone for my day.  I had no power on my drives today.  I had no accuracy on my fairway throws and I couldn't putt worth a damn.  Other than that....   I did make a 60 foot flick on #8 to save bogey.  Steve was making some long putts today.  Chris hit the pole with his drive on #9.

There were four birdies made:  Steve(2) and Chris(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.
