Circle C - Welcome to 2026

Happy New Year!!

We played Circle C for the first round of the new year.  The players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Darden, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 50's-60's, sunny skies and a light breeze.  Course conditions were good but very dry.  There were many other players on the course, we let several groups play thru.

I started off slow on the first hole but overall I played alright.  I made several putts outside my comfort zone.  If it wasn't for a few really stupid throws and some bad rolls my score.....you know.  Steve and Chris both had good rounds and lots of birdies.

There were eight birdies made today:  Chris(4), Steve(3) and Heady(1).  No discs lost, one disc almost found but it had several holes in it, so we left it in the tree.

Wong Way Woods - Last Round of 2025

 

We met up 8:00 this morning at Macho Tacos in Manchaca for breakfast before heading down to Buda for an exciting round of disc golf at Wong Way Woods.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 70's, mostly cloudy skies and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good and dry.  There was one other player on the course.

My approach shots let me down today.  I just couldn't get the fine touch.  I had some challenging putts and I actually made a few of them.  I came close to an ace on the short #3, my Buzz sailed just to the left of the basket.

There were 11 birdies made today:  Lif(4), Chris(3), Steve(2) and Heady(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Zilker - Christmas Eve

 

It's been very warm for December and we couldn't resist the urge to get in a round before Christmas.  Today's players were:  Steve, Darden, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's, sunny skies and a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good and surprisingly there were few other players on the course.

I got off to a bad front nine but finished with a respectable score.  Keith damn near had an ace on #9, the wind pushed the disc away at the last second.  Steve is getting back in his old form,  getting some long distance!

There were six birdies made today:  Steve(3), Darden(1), Chris(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Westside Park - Winter Solstice

 

The winter solstice occurred at 9:03 this morning, about the time we teed off at the Westside Park in Marble Falls.  Before the round we enjoyed a great breakfast at the Bluebonnet Cafe.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Keith and Heady.  It was a little chilly with temperatures in the lower 50's, but the sun was shining and there was only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were perfect and we were the only players on the course.

It took me a while to get loose today.  I really sucked on the front nine, with bad approach shots and missed putts.  It's easy to get caught behind some trees.  I picked it up some on the back nine but fell apart on the last three holes with stupid throws.

There were four birdies made today:  Lif(2), Steve(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
