Circle C - Macho Tacos

We met up at 8:00 in Manchaca at Macho Taco to have breakfast with Steve before heading over to Circle C.  Steve looked good!  Today's players were:  Chris, Lif, Dave, Donald, Darden, Keith and Heady.  The weather was perfect, temperatures in the 80's, sunny skies and only a slight breeze.  Course condition were very dry, we haven't had rain for about a month.  There were many other players on the course.

I had a pretty good day, it's been a long time since I've scored this well on this course.  The key is to avoid the trees!  My drives were average but in the fairway, my approach shots were close enough and I only missed one long putt.   Lif played well after a two week absence.

There were eight birdies made today:  Darden(3), Chris(2), Donald(2) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Wilco - A nice day

We met up at the Williamson County Disc Golf Course this morning at 8:30.  Today's players were:  Chris, Bob, Dave, Keith and Heady.  The weather was just about perfect.  Temperatures in the 60's when we started, sunny skies, low humidity and a slight north breeze.  Course conditions were good.  They paved the parking lot and did a real nice job of it.  There were many other groups on the course today.

I played a little better than my average for this course.  I played a practice round at Circle C on Friday and really had a good round.  Maybe that helped.  My drives were pretty good for the most part and I had some nice approach shots.  I made most of my putts, some from a little distance.  I think I only missed one putt that I should have made.   I threw it in from about 50 feet on on #2 for par.  That's the first time I've made par on that hole in a very long time.

Bob had a great throw on #9, throwing it in from about 120 feet.  Chris had back to back birdies on #11 and #12.  Keith had some power today, he didn't have good control at times.  Damn near took my head off!

Only three birdies made today:  Chris(2) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

North Town - Equinox

We met up on the first day of Fall in Pflugerville to play the ever challenging North Town course.  Today's players were:  Chris, Donald, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly sunny skies and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good, the creek was mostly dry but the pond was full.  There were a lot of other players on the course,  I think a tournament was going on.  There was a Grateful Ted sighting.

I had another substandard week.  My drives were pretty good, mostly straight and I'm getting some distance again.  I did get some bad luck getting stuck behind trees.  Even when I had an open shot my approach shots were just a little off, leaving me with more difficult putts, which I mostly missed.

Around nine birdies were made today:  Donald(4), Chris(4) and Heady(1).  No discs found and maybe one lost by Donald on #11 in the jungle.  Donald and Chris went back to search for it after the round.
