Wong Way Woods - The Return of Mark Hamilton

We met up this morning at 8:00 at Taco Arnada in Manchaca for breakfast before heading to Buda to play Wong Way Woods.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith, Mark and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly cloudy skies and not much of a breeze.  The humidity was brutal.  We were all sweating.  Course conditions were fair.  The fairways could use some mowing.  We had the course to ourselves.

We all had a pretty good round today.  Chris was a birdie machine with six birdies, including three in a row.  Mark had the shot of the day with an ACE on the last hole we played.  I played alright today.  Just a little off with my approach shots.  I think I only missed one putt that I should have made.

There was one eagle (ace) today by Mark.  There were 11 birdies made:  Chris(6), Steve(2), Mark(1), Lif(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Sprinkle Valley - Independence Day Weekend

The morning after Independence Day we met up at Sprinkle Valley for an enjoyable round of disc golf.  'Merica!  The players were:  Steve, Lif, Keith, Bob, Chris and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's, mostly sunny skies and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good and there were several other groups on the course.

I've only played this course once before and I like the newness of this course.  The excitement, unfamiliarity and freshness before routine sets in.  Something new to figure out.  I played about the same as I did the first time.  I had some good drives today but my putting let me down again.   After we finished we ate lunch in the pro shop and enjoyed some fresh, cold beer.

Birdies were made by Steve(1), Lif(1) and Bob(1).  No discs found and no discs lost.

Northtown - Last Minute Change

We originally planned to play the Sprinkle Valley course on Sunday morning.  However, once we arrived we were informed that a tournament was being played.  We called an audible and decided to play Northtown.  The players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Bob, Chris, Darden and Heady.  Dave walked the course and was available for advice.  The gang was all present, there was even a Donald sighting!  Temperatures were in the 80's, partly cloudy skies and a good breeze was blowing.  Course condition were good, lots of water in the creeks.  There were a comfortable number of other players on the course.

I didn't play too poorly considering I had less that four hours of sleep.  I had some nice drives and some good approach shots.  I did miss at least four putts, one for birdie.  We all hit our share of trees.

There were eight birdies made today:  Steve(4), Chris(2), Lif(1) and Darden(1).  No discs found and my throwaway disc sleeps with the fishes in the pond on #12.

Videos are at the end, past the score.  Blogger was frustrating me today!
