Circle C - The Saga Continues
We met up at 8:30 for a relaxing round of disc golf at Circle C. Today's players were: Steve, Dave, Keith and Heady. Temperatures were in the low 80's, cloudy skies, very muggy. An occasional cool breeze would blow. Course conditions were fair. Several branches have fallen the past few weeks. There were a few other players on the course.
My woes continue. I can't seem to string together a few good throws. I had some good drives but didn't have the touch on my approach shots. I missed five easy putts. Dave and I had a good drives on #4 and made our easy putts for birdie. Steve and Dave both make several very long putts. Keith had a perfect drive on #15, parked it!
There were five birdies made today: Dave(2), Steve(1), Keith(1) and Heady(1). No discs lost and no discs found.

East Metro Park - Welcome to the Jungle
![]() |
We met up at 8:30 in Manor at the challenging East Metro Park. Today's players were: Lif, Dave, Steve, Chris and Heady. Temperatures were in the 80's. Humidity was in the 80's. Mostly sunny skies and an occasional cool breeze. Course conditions were good and thick. The undergrowth has come back with all the recent rains. We let two other groups of old guys play thru, other than that we had the course to ourselves.
Considering I only had four hours of sleep, I didn't play too badly. When I didn't hit a tree I had some decent drives. My fairway shots were a little off which led to challenging putts. I made a few and missed a few. I did record a birdie on #14. My drive snaked thru the trees, hit the ground and bounced off the pole!
Only one birdie made: Heady(1). No discs lost and no discs found!

Flying Armadillo - Fun Day
Several of us met up at Macho Tacos in Manchaca before heading down to San Marcos to play the Flying Armadillo. We had a large group today: Steve, Lif, Dave, Keith, Chris, Darden and Heady. Temperatures were in the 70's, cloudy skies with thunderstorms in the area. There was hardly any wind. We did get rained on a little but it was not bad and did not last long. Course conditions were good. A little wet and slippery in places.
We played the short course first to warm up. It was a lot of fun and there was much jocularity. They've updated the course since we last played it and there were many improvements.
I played pretty well today. My drives were long and mostly straight. My putting was very good. I choked on one short putt but made several long putts. My approach shots could have been better but my putting saved me. I got some tree love on #14 which kissed my drive closer to the basket. I birdied #14 and #15.
A total of five birdies were made: Heady(2), Lif(1), Dave(1) and Darden(1). No discs lost and no discs found.
