Roy G. Guerrero - The Course that keeps on Giving

We met up this morning at 8:30 at the every challenging Roy G Guerrero DGC.  Today's players were Steve, Keith, Chris, Lif, Dave, Bob and Heady.  Darden is having health problems and could not play.  Get well soon Dave, we miss you.  Temperatures were in the low 80's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional breeze.  Course conditions were good and there were a lot of other players on the course.  Since we had such a large group we let about a dozen other small groups play through.

I had a hard time getting it going today, it didn't help that I was a little hung over and very short of sleep.  Also, having to wait for groups to play through really upset the rhythm of the game.  I was able to pick it up for a few holes and had some decent throws.  Chris was ripping off some really long drives and got some tree love.  Dave hit several long putts, Bob made a 60 foot putt to save par.   Keith and Lif both were bit by the putting bug.

Only one birdie made today and that was a tap in by Chris.  He had a couple of other chances but failed to convert.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C - Perfect Weather for Disc Golf

We met up this morning at Circle C at 8:30 for Macho Tacos and disc golf.  The tacos were very good, our disc golf, not so much.  Today's players were:  Chris, Keith and Heady.  Steve played and kept a scorecard, he was only playing at about 75%.  The weather was perfect, temperatures in the 60's, sunny skies and no wind.  Course conditions were good and dry.  There were many other players on the course.

I played much worse than the last time we played here.  My drives were not very long, it took me awhile to warm up.  Many of my approach shots were a touch off.  I must have missed six easy putts.  I did have the shot of the day on #6.  I threw my Buzz in from 100+ feet out for par!

Only two birdies made today, both by Chris.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Williamson County

We met up at 8:30 at the Williamson County DGC in Round Rock.  Today's players were:  Chris, Lif, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Steve played a practice round with us and he did pretty good.  Temperatures were in the upper 70's.  Skies were cloudy and a breeze was blowing.  We got sprinkled on a couple of times.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course.  Thanks to Steve for bringing the Macho Tacos and thanks to Chris for buying them.

I scored a few strokes worse than the last time we played here.  I wasn't getting the distance on my drives and I missed a couple of stupid putts.  No one really tore up the course today.

There were four birdies made today:  Chris(3) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Sorry that the photos are out of order.  Blogger was being difficult and I got frustrated with it!

Northtown

We met up this morning in Plugerville at the Northtown Disc Golf Course.  Today's players were:  Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Steve was there to get some exercise and take score.  Temperatures were in the 80's, sunny skies and no wind to speak of.   Course conditions were very dry, we need rain badly.  There were lots of other players on the course, we started on hole 10 to get around some large groups.  There was a Donald sighting.

I played pretty well today, one of the lowest scores for me on this course in a long time.  If not for a few bad throws it could have been much better.   It took a few throws to get my arm loose, then I was able to snap off some nice drive.  My approach shots were my problem again and there were a lot of trees to contend with.

There were four birdies made today:  Lif(1), Chris(1), Keith(1) and Heady(1).  Chris made an Eagle on the par 5 #11.  He had a very nice drive and great second shot and a long putt.  No disc lost and two discs found, both DX Leopards!
