Roy G. Guerrero - The Trees Won

We met up at 8:30 this morning for a fun round of disc golf at the Roy G. Guerrero park.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris Dave, Darden, Bob, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, the humidity was high, the sun was shining and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were very dry.  There were many other players on the course.  We let several groups play thru.

With the exception of Chris, none of us had a very good round.  We all hit our share of trees.  There was much wailing and gnashing of teeth.  I always have a hard time with this course.  My drives were mostly straight but could have been a little longer.  I'm losing strength.  My approach shots were horrible and I missed several putts.  A normal day for me.  Bob had his roller working today!

Only one birdie today, Chris threw it in from 70 feet away on #3.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Darden starts us off!

Northtown - Too Many Trees

We haven't played Northtown since February and that's too long.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Chris, Keith, Bob and Heady.  Lif walked the course for physical/mental therapy and putting practice.  Temperatures were in the 70's, cloudy skies and a slight breeze was blowing.  It was comfortable.  Course conditions were good, the creek was mostly dry.  There were many other players on the course.

I played a little better than my average for this course.  We all got off to a slow start but picked it up on the back nine.  We all hit our share of trees, there was much gnashing of teeth and rending of garments.

There were six birdies made today:  Chris(3), Dave(2) and Steve(1).  I choked on my birdie putt on #8.  One disc lost, my drive on #12 sleeps with the fishes.  Chris pulled two discs out of the pond.

Steve starts us off!

Zilker Park - A Quick Round

We met up at 8:00 am at Zilker park for a quick round, we finished by 10.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Dave, Donald and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly cloudy skies and no wind to speak of.  Course conditions were good, a little dry and there were many other players on the course.

I played pretty good today, my drives were straight and long, most of my approach shots were on target.  I did miss three putts that I should have made.  Everyone else had a pretty good round.

There were ten birdies made today:  Chris(5), Donald(3), Dave(1), Steve(1), Heady(0).  No discs lost.  One disc found by me.  My drive on #13 hit the tree in the middle of the fairway.  My disc dropped down and so did one more!

Chris starts us off!
