Little Roy G. - Easy Round

We met up at 8:00 at the Little G. course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Keith, Darden, Chris and Heady.  This is a nine-hole course next to the Roy G. Guerrero course.  Several of us have never played it before.  Since it's only nine holes we played it twice.  We finished so early we could have played it a third time!  Temperatures were in the 80's, sunny skies and a slight breeze.  This is a fun, heavily wooded course with short holes that require some technical shots.  The course conditions were very good.  We had the course to ourselves when we started but it quickly became crowded.  I'm glad we started early.

Everyone had a good round and scored under par. We only had four bogies between us.  I had some decent throws despite having a kink in my neck.  I made most of my putts although I had two putts that clanked off the basket and rolled far away.

At total of 42 birdies and one eagle were made today:  Steve had the eagle.  Birdies:  Heady(8), Chris(8), Darden(8), Combs(6), Lif(6), Keith(6).   No discs lost and one disc found by Steve.

Circle C - World Cup Day

We met up at 8:30 on World Cup Day at Circle C DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Darden, Chris, Bob, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, sunny skies, high humidity and a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, considering all the rain we had this week.  There were many other players on the course.  We let several groups and singles play thru.

I played alright this week.  I had a pretty good front nine and not so good on the back nine.  I missed four putts that I really should have made.  I had some bad luck on #17.  I had a good drive and a short approach shot.  I soft tossed my disc and it landed in front of the basket, then it moved on it's edge and slowly rolled over the drop off behind the basket.  Down the hill and behind a tree.  By the time we got to #18, the heat and humidity started taking its toll, resulting in a lot of errant throws.

There were seven birdies made today:  Chris(3), Keith(2) and Heady(2).  One disc lost by Darden in the thick rough on #5.  Two discs were found!

Wong Way Woods - The Return of Mark Hamilton

We met up this morning at 8:00 at Taco Arnada in Manchaca for breakfast before heading to Buda to play Wong Way Woods.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Chris, Keith, Mark and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, mostly cloudy skies and not much of a breeze.  The humidity was brutal.  We were all sweating.  Course conditions were fair.  The fairways could use some mowing.  We had the course to ourselves.

We all had a pretty good round today.  Chris was a birdie machine with six birdies, including three in a row.  Mark had the shot of the day with an ACE on the last hole we played.  I played alright today.  Just a little off with my approach shots.  I think I only missed one putt that I should have made.

There was one eagle (ace) today by Mark.  There were 11 birdies made:  Chris(6), Steve(2), Mark(1), Lif(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
