Austin Ridge Bible Church - Saturday Bonus Round

Steve, Mark and I played a Saturday round at the Church this morning.  Since Mark is in town we decided to give him a challenging course.  Temperatures were in the 80's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional breeze.  Course conditions were a little rough, there are still a lot of down tree limbs and it is getting overgrown.  There were a few other groups on the course.

I played about my average for this course, which is not very good.  I had some decent drives but my approach shots either hit trees or rolled far away from the basket.  Steve had the shot of the day with a skip in birdie on #15.    All Star birdie on #18!

There were eight birdies made today: Steve(4), Mark(3) and Rob(1).  No discs lost and a white Mamba found by Steve.

Old Settlers' Park

We met up at 8:00 this morning at Old Settlers' Park in Round Rock for some Macho Tacos and disc golf.  Thanks to Lif for buying breakfast and thanks to Steve for bringing it.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Mark, Chris, Keith and Heady.  Good to see Mark again!  Temperatures were in the 80's when we started, partly cloudy skies and the wind was not an issue.  Course conditions were good but dry.  There were many other groups on the course today.

I played about my average for this course.  It is easy to get into trouble if you don't stay on the fairway.  I made a pretty long putt on #5 to save par but I missed three closer putts that I should made.  Mark impressed us all with his distance drives.

Only three birdies made today:  Chris(2) and Mark(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Keith on #18.

East Metro Park - Manor

We ventured east this morning to play the ever challenging East Metro Park in Manor.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 90's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional cool breeze was blowing.  Course condition were good, some of the fairways were recently mowed.  Lots of thorns and stickers.  There were a few other groups on the course.

I played about my average for this course. I hate starting a round with a bogey.   I felt I could have played a little better.  Several of my drives hit the rough early.  Keith had a pretty good round.

Only three birdies were made today:  Steve(1), Chris(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Steve on #10.
