Cat Hollow - Memorial Day Weekend

 We met up at 8:30 in Round Rock to play the Cat Hollow DGC.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Bob, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the upper 80's, mostly sunny skies and a good breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good, a little dry.  There were many other players on the course.

I was dragging today from too much partying yesterday, I ended up with not too bad of a score.  My drives were straight, just not very far.  My drive on #2 was almost perfect but ended up behind a tree, could have been a birdie.  I almost threw one in from about 80 feet on #3 for a birdie.  Clanged of the ring and rolled away for a bogey.  I had a couple of disaster holes and I did miss a few putts. 

Lif was on fire today, with long drives and he was putting with authority.  Keith had some really long throws today.  Steve had a grip problem that was really messing up some of his throws.

Only one birdie today:  Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Humid Sticky Day

 We met up at Metcenter at 8:30 for our Sunday round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Darden, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  The temperature and the humidity were both in the upper 80's.  Skies were mostly cloudy and a pesky breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good, there was a little water in the creek.  There were a few other players on the course.

I ended up having a better round than I thought I was going to get.  I started out poorly on the front nine but really picked it up on the back nine.  My drives weren't all that great but they were straight.  My approach shots could have been closer but I was making my putts today.  Except for hole #7 where I had a putting adventure over the berm and back!

Only three birdies made today:  Lif(2) and Steve(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

East Metro Park - Mother's Day

 

We met up this morning at 8:30 at East Metro Park in Manor to play a round for Mother's Day.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 70's, sunny skies and a good breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good and we pretty much had the course to ourselves.

I played poorly today, I could not get it going.  I couldn't get any distance on my drives and when I did throw one well, it often hit a tree.  I missed at least four easy putts. 

There were only three birdies made today:  Chris(1), Steve(1) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
