Circle C - Windy Sunday Afternoon

We decided to play an afternoon round at Circle C instead of our usual morning round.  It's a good thing because this morning was very cold and windy.   We had a big turnout today, the players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Darden, Donald, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the low 50's when we started, the wind was blowing in from the north at 20mph with gusts up to 30mph.  It was cloudy when we started but the sun came out about halfway thru the round.  Course conditions were good and dry.  There were only a few other players on the course.

Nobody had an exceptional round today.  The wind caused havoc on our throws.  I missed a couple of putts that I really should have made.  However, I did make a putt on #11 that I was sure that I missed.  I only managed five pars during the round.

Only six birdies made today:  Donald, Chris, Dave, Steve, Lif and Darden each had one birdie.  No discs lost but one disc found high in the trees on #14.

Blogger was being difficult and would not load the pictures in order.  Also, it put the birdie videos at the end.

Roy G. Guerrero - Nice Day for some Disc Golf

 

We met up this morning at 8:30 for a relaxing round of disc golf at the Roy G. Guerrero course.  Today's players were:  Chris, Dave, Steve, Keith and Heady.  The weather was perfect, temperatures were in the 70's, cloudy skies and no wind.  Course conditions were good, the grass was a bit high in some places.  The recent rains really greened things up.  There were many other players on the course.

I had some decent drives today it was my putting that killed me.  I missed six putts within 20 feet, either hitting off the basket or clanking of the ring.  I did make a 30 footer to save par on #13.  I made par on #9 for the first time in recent memory.

Only one birdie made today by Chris on the first hole.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Flat Creek Winery - Lif's Birthday Round

 

For Lif's birthday, we took a road trip this morning to play the beautiful and challenging course at the Flat Creek Winery.  Several of us, (Dave, Steve, Keith and me) met up at Lif's house at 7:30 and we carpooled to the course for a 9:00 tee time.  When we got to the course at 8:30 the gates were locked 😟.  Chris showed up and we waited until 9:15 until they opened the gates.   

It was a beautiful spring morning for disc golf.  Temperatures were in the low 70's, mostly cloudy skies with peeks of sunlight and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were excellent and there was only a few other players on the course.  We all had an excellent time playing!

There were seven birdies made:  Chris(4), Dave(1), Lif(1), Keith(1).   No discs lost and one disc found.
