Austin Ridge Bible Church - Are We Having Fun Yet?

We met up this morning at the Austin Ridge Bible Church at 9:00.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Chris, Dave, Lif and Heady.  Course conditions were fair to poor.  There were two other people on the course.  The temperature was in the mid 70's when we started, mostly cloudy skies and no wind to speak of.  That all changed around the 8th hole.  A strong cold front blew in and dropped the temperature 20+ degrees that was followed by a steady rain and wind gusts of 20mph.   Not very nice!

The weather conditions were a factor why we all played poorly today.  Steve made a 50 foot toss on #1 for a birdie and Lif made a 50 foot toss on #11 for a bogey.

Only two birdies made today, one by Steve and one by Lif.   No discs lost and one disc found.  One large coral snake found on hole #1.

Break time!

Roy G. - Nice Day

It was a good day to play some disc golf at Roy G.  Guerrero.  Temperatures were in the 70's, skies were partly cloudy and there was no wind to speak of.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Course conditions were good and there were many other players on the course.

Steve was throwing some impressive drives today.  Very straight and very long, we were all in awe.  I had an average day, still not getting the distance I want.  At least my putting accurate today.

Only two birdies made today, both by Steve.   No discs lost and no discs found.

MetCenter - Blowing in the Wind

The group met up at 8:30 this morning at the MetCenter for a challenging round of disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith, Lif, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 60's, sunny skies but the wind was blowing with gusts of 25mph.  Course conditions were good, they recently mowed the fairway and the creek was mostly dry.  There were several other groups on the course.

Steve had a respectable round, everyone else played well below their average for this course.  Every putt over 10 feet was an adventure.  It was very easy to go from birdie to bogey.

Only four birdies were made today:  Lif(2), Chris(1) and Steve(1).  I think there were five discs found.  One disc lost, Chris' drive on #15 sleeps with the fishes.

Steve starts us off on #10
