Roy G. Guerrero - New and Improved

 We met up this morning at 8:00 to play the newly redesigned Roy G. Guerrero course.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Keith and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 80's, sunny skies and no wind to speak of.  Course conditions were very good.  They cleaned up a lot of the brush and most of the weeds have died from the heat and drought.  There were many other groups on the course.

The consensus among the group was that we really liked the redesign.  They removed all of the crazy long par 4's.  All of the holes now have fair pars.  I started off a little slow and made some stupid mistakes.  I really think I could shave off 6 or 7 strokes if we play this more.  Steve had some really good drives today, he got his share of tree love.

Only one birdie made today by Steve.  No discs lost and no discs found.

Zilker Park - Hot Day for a Quick Round

It was a hot day for a quick round of disc golf at Zilker Park this morning.  Today's players were: Steve, Keith, Lif and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 90's, skies were sunny and the wind was not a factor.  Course conditions were very dry.  There were many other groups on the course. 

I started off slow then picked it up a little and finished poorly.  I did manage a few good drives but my putting let me down a few times.  Steve nearly had an ace on #9.  His disc skipped off the top of the basket and bounced off the chains.  Steve finished up at even par, even Steven!

Only two birdie made today:  Steve(1) and Keith(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Circle C

 We met up at 8:00 this morning at Circle C for Macho Tacos and disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith and Heady.  It was another warm one, with temperatures in the 90's.  Skies were sunny and a good breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were very dry.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

I played about my average for this course.   I had a good front nine and a poor back nine.  It seemed that I forgot how to throw a disc on a few holes.  My approach shots and putting were a little off today, costing me about four strokes.

There were five birdies made today:  Chris(3), Keith(1) and Rob(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Keith.
