East Metro Park - Manor

We ventured east this morning to play the ever challenging East Metro Park in Manor.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris, Keith, Dave and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 90's, partly cloudy skies and an occasional cool breeze was blowing.  Course condition were good, some of the fairways were recently mowed.  Lots of thorns and stickers.  There were a few other groups on the course.

I played about my average for this course. I hate starting a round with a bogey.   I felt I could have played a little better.  Several of my drives hit the rough early.  Keith had a pretty good round.

Only three birdies were made today:  Steve(1), Chris(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and one disc found by Steve on #10.

Circle C - Father's Day

It was a small turnout for an early start at Circle C.  Today's players were:  Steve, Chris and Heady.  We met up at 8:00 to avoid the heat and that was a good thing.  Temperatures were in the 90's when we finished.  Not a cloud in the sky and a slight breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were fair, the fairways could use some mowing.  There were several other groups on the course.

I played about my average today.  I'm still not getting a lot of power on my drives, at least I kept most of them in the fairway.  I made a few dumb throws on my approach shots that cost me a few strokes.  I made most of my putts.  Steve had a great round, bogey free, ending up -4.  Chris came late and caught up with us on the third basket.  He had some grip lock problems today.

There were six birdies made today:  Steve(4) and Heady(2).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Steve with a birdie on #6.  Awesome drive.

Steve with a birdie on #12.  Great approach from the tree.

Williamson County - Hot Day

It was a hot day for a round of disc golf at the Williamson County DGC.  Today's players were:  Dave, Lif, Chris, Keith, Darden and Heady.  Steve is out of state. Temperatures were in the low 90's when we finished.  Not a cloud in the sky and a 10-15mph breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good and dry.  There were lots of other players on the course.  We had to wait a few times.

I played about my average lately, still having problems with power on my drive.  My approach shots were good and I made most of my putts.  Darden and Chris were both snapping off some long throws.  Lif kept it in the straight and narrow.  Keith's putting woes continue, it's very frustrating for him.

Only five birdies were made today:  Lif(2), Darden(2) and Chris(1).   One disc found and one disc lost by Lif, his drive (Big Irish) went deep into the rough.

MetCenter

We met up this morning at 8:30 at the Met Center for breakfast tacos and disc golf.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Chris, Keith, Lif and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 70's, cloudy skies and not much wind.  Course conditions were good, a storm blew thru last night and knocked over a couple of trees.  It was a little muddy in places.  There was no one on the course when we started.

I played a little below average for this course.  I'm not getting any power on my drives.  At least my flick was working today and my putting was pretty solid.  Some of my approach shots let me down, stupid mistakes cost me a few strokes.

A total of seven birdies were made today:  Steve(2), Dave(2), Chris(2) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.
