Circle C - Caught in the Rain

Thy sky was threatening this morning but we decided to take a chance and play Circle C anyway.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Lif and Heady.  The temperatures were in the upper 60's, skies were mostly cloudy and there was no wind.  Rain was in the forecast and we caught some steady rain starting at hole 7 and it ended around hole 15.  At least it was not cold.  Course conditions were muddy and slick.  You have to watch your footing on the limestone.  There were a few other fools on the course.

Again, not a good round for Mr. Heady.  I could not keep it all together.  I started with some great approach shots but lousy drives.  I made most of my putts.  I kept hyzering my drives into the rough or throwing way to low.  Wet discs and poor footing did not help.  My best drive, on hole 8, went 60 feet past the basket and over the cliff.  I ended up with a double bogey.  I did make par on the difficult hole 5.  If I had just made par (or birdie) on the easy holes my score would have been respectable.

Dave hit a long putt to make birdie on #2.  Steve was robbed of a birdie on #15, his long putt thru the trees passed thru the chains.  We managed to record an All-Star triple bogey on #18.

A total of four birdies were made:  Steve(2), Dave(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.

Roy G. Guerrero - The Beast

It's been over a year since we've played Roy G., now I know why.  Today's players were Steve, Keith, Chris, Dave and Heady.  It was a bit cool when we started with temperatures in the low 50's.  The sun was shining but the wind was also blowing at times.  Course conditions where good, they cleared out a lot of the overgrown brush. They also moved the basket on hole 6 so now the hole is a little shorter.  There were lots of other players on the course.

I had a truly awful round, I had no power today.   I only had one par.  I even double bogeyed the easy holes.  Nobody had what I would call a great round.  The trees took their toll.

No birdies today.  No discs lost and no discs found.  One Magic 8 Ball found by Steve.

East Metro is a No, North Town is a Yes

We originally were going to play Manor on Sunday.  We ran into Grateful Ted in the parking lot.  Right after we we teed off on the first hole, a park worker told us the course was closed today for a controlled burn.  So we went to Plan B and played North Town.  Today's players were:  Steve, Dave, Keith and Heady.  It was a little chilly, temperatures were in the 50's.  Skies were sunny but the wind was blowing and gusting.  Course conditions were good, the pond on #12 was full again.

I had more bad throws than good throws this week.  My front nine was terrible, I picked it some on the back nine and saved my best drive for #18.  The wind was definitely a factor, every putt was an adventure. Steve made a 60 footer on #3 to save par.  Keith has improved a lot in the past few weeks.  His hip is not bothering him as much and he was getting some good distance.

A total of three birdies were made today:  Steve(2) and Keith(1).  No discs found and one disc lost by Steve in the pond on #12.
