The Sun Came Out For Circle C

After weeks of rainy, windy and below average temperatures, the sun was out today.  Today's players were:  Lif, Dave, Chris, Darden and Heady.  Temperatures were in the 50's when we started, not a cloud in the sky and only a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, some fresh mulch in places.  There were not a many players as I would have expected on such a nice day.  Maybe they were all sleeping in late.

I only had about three or four good drives today but my approach shots made up for it.  I had a very nice drive on #8, thought it had a chance and it ended up over the cliff.  I was lucky to save par.  I didn't miss any putts that I normally make.  Big Dave was a birdie machine on the front nine.

There were five birdies made today:  Dave(3), Chris(1) and Lif(1).  No discs lost, there might have been one found by Chris but he returned it.

Circle C - Cold Morning

Chris and I played a round at Circle C this morning.  Everyone else was out.  It was a chilly start at 8:30 with temperatures in the 30's, sunny skies and a slight breeze.  Course conditions were good, lots of fresh mulch.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

Not the best round for either of us.  Chris had problems with grip lock and overpowering his drives.  I had some hyzer problems and lousy putting.  I did have one of my better drives on #18, ending up next to the big tree.  Too bad my next two throws went off the fairway.   Only one birdie made today, by me on #15.

Where There's a Will, There's a Wilco

We had a small group that ventured north to Wilco to play this Sunday.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Chris and Heady.  The course was 'closed' because of recent rains but we paid our two bucks and played anyway.  So did a lot of other people.  Temperatures were in the 60's, mostly sunny skies and an occasional breeze.  Course conditions were a little muddy.

I'm still in my funk and playing like 💩, not getting any distance on my drives and my control is not consistent.  I did have a few good throws and a couple of nice approach shots to save bogey.  Lif was on fire 💥 with his putting, consistently hitting from 25-30 feet out.  He made a birdie on #10 with a putt from 40 feet.  I think he is secretly taking lessons.

Only two birdies today:  Lif and Chris.  No discs lost but two discs found.  We did have four star frames.
