Circle C - Just Because

It felt like a good day to play Circle C.  Today's players were:  Steve, Keith, Lif, Dave, Bob and Heady.  Good to see Bob again.  Temperatures were in the 70's, sunny skies and there was a good breeze blowing.  Thanks to Steve for bringing the Macho Tacos.  Course conditions were good, the creek was dry.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

Everyone pretty played below their average today.  I played well below my average, spending too much time in the trees.  I really need to work on my game.  Too many stupid mistakes and a lack of concentration.

There were six birdies made today:  Steve(2), Bob(2), Dave(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost and no discs found.  Steve split one of his old favorites after it hit a tree.

MetCenter - Vernal Equinox

The first day of spring and it was a beautiful morning for disc golf at the Met.  Yesterday was Lif's 60th birthday, he finally joined the club.  Today's players were:  Lif, Keith, Steve and Heady.  Weather conditions were near perfect.  Temperatures in the 50's, sunny skies, the winds were calm on the front nine but picked up a little on the back nine.  Course condition were good, they removed some dead trees.  There were a fair number of other players on the course.

Steve was a birdie machine, sinking six birdies.  Lif had two and Keith had one.  No discs found and I lost a disc in the deep water by hole #12.

Westside Park - Marble Falls

We met up this morning at the Bluebonnet Cafe in Mable Falls for a filling and delicious breakfast before heading out to Westside Park.  Today's players were:  Steve, Lif, Keith, Chris and Heady.  It was a little chilly this morning with temperatures in the 30's when we started.  The skies were mostly clear and a stiff south breeze was blowing.  Course conditions were good, very dry.  There were very few other players on the course.

We all played fairly well today.  The wind was a factor throughout the day.  I played alright, my drives were not that long but they were straight enough.  I did miss about four putts.

There were eight birdies made today:  Chris(3), Steve(3), Lif(1) and Heady(1).  No discs lost, a lot got wet.  One disc found by Steve on the first hole by the big tree.
